Anyone out there bother to make any resolutions?

Mine are =

a. Less coffee (SMASHED already).
b. Less chox (SMASHED already).
c. No more reality TV shows - THIS is THE ONE I think I may be able to
keep after listening to the old geezer in Celebrity (??) BB SNORING.
AND having to look at that silly young "rock guy": so cool he can't
even open the blooming door of the Diary Room.

Enough to put anyone off reality TV for the rest of this lifetime.

im not a huge fan of new year resolutions coz they tend to fail.

I have been working on getting fitter and losing weight and generally improving my lifestyle. 2 stone lost so far and prob about the same still to go. The holidays was a bit of a glitch but thats me back on track now.

I think you'll find that you seem to have, as you put it, smashed resolution c aswell Viv.

Perhaps you should resolve to become more dedicated Viv.

...and yet it would appear you've broken that one already, going by what you know about the current series.

Interesting use of the phrase "this lifetime", are you of the opinion that there is another?

"this lifetime" : yeah, I think I'll be back... but maybe not in HUMAN FORM. Perhaps as a lion, or something... or a giraffe.

lol, if only!

nah - started back in september / october. Ive just been hammering the gym - fad diets annoy me and don't work.

Billy Connolly's diet is the only one I agree with - "Eat Less, Move More".

My New Year's resolution is 1024x768. Just the same as last year's.

Seriously, I am just trying to work harder and be more organised. Time management, as they keep telling me at Uni in the "study skills" lectures (when I don't miss them due to sleeping/shopping/drinking). This year, I will do some background reading, and get work done ahead of deadlines. I don't think it will actually happen though.

Credit goes to a friend of mine... not my joke. Just thought I'd post it anyway.

Well done for finding yet another 'amusing' variation on my screen name.

For those of you who are currently trying to give up smoking, January ain't the time to do it. It's cold, dark, miserable and there's not much to do except sit around indoors craving nicotine.

Best time of year to give up is 1st May. It's sunny, warm and the long hot summer is ahead and you're outdoors a lot more keeping yourself busy. Apart from the hardcore chainsmokers - people generally smoke less in the summer months than they do in the winter.

I've been in Nottingham for 2 days now and haven't seen the sun once. The ground outside has been permanently wet because it keeps bloody raining. I want to go back to London.

Perhaps I should make a resolution to spend less time on forums. Actually, screw it - it's too cold.

I am giving up chocolate as of today. I've eaten way too much of it since Christmas. Everyone gave me chocolate, and no one gave me money.

Most likely, someone will give me a box of chocolates tomorrow. Always the way when I give up chocolate.

I'm quite happy to give this big old box of Quality-run-down-the-Street to charity, including the naff box of chocco someone else got me, until I saw the new caramel bottle of Baileys someone also bought me, which I've never tried, and I also have to try the mint one, by this time I'm thinking to myself "I aint fat" and I am proud of this, and nothing and no box of anything is gonna make me that way whoopee. Rationing is the key, through the miserable months of Jan and Feb. Mind you though, my stocking is this year missing its annual crate of Stella from my sister - which never gets rationed, the way I see it, the sooner I drink that lot the sooner I dont have to keep feeling like I'm unhealthy, which is a very positive outlook. Preston ate a whole box of chocs, I'll be damned if I'm gonna, everything except booze in moderation.

I took a spare tin of Quality Street in to the office yesterday, just so I didn't eat it all myself. Bunch of gannets in my office.
