Tinsel is cheap, tacky, the animals eat it and it's a pain to clean up - I'm not a fan if it weren't obvious.
I do love marmite though !!!

I have not put a Christmas Tree up this year - I have a Jack Russell, I know what he's capable of. I have done lights ... which did keep falling down, so, I look like the odd one out on my street !

Welcome Leigh, you are indeed most welcome, I have a tree in the house and the cats keep crawling up the middle and peering out through the lights and tinsell, then they move around and the tree shakes, which is hilarious actually, but I can't really condone it as it may damage the tree or Zap the cats, so I have to be one in the house to shout at them and chase them off, which means they hate me and never want to sit on my lap ( I get nose rubbing duties too, to do on there do do !)

Thanks for the welcome ! My sister used to have cats - who ate the tinsel and played with the baulbauls until they eventually smashed after being knocked about so much (after the cats climbed up the tree and knocked it down a few times) .... back to the dog ...... a hyperactive, disobedient, destructive puppy .... it's not just at Christmas time when he can eat the wrapping paper, nick the selotape, chew the carrier bags the presents came in, it's all year round - whatever it is ... he's eating/humping/destroying it .... but, I too am the strict one who shouts and tells him off .... although it doesn't seem to work !

You need a Boboff shout, got to sound like you mean to inflict ABH, the current Mrs Boboff tries shouting at the dog, cats and kids, and gets the same "whatever" shrug off all of them, but when Dad say jump, they do. I know it's parenting by fear, but it works for me ( and no I don't back it up with any sort of violence, but lots of threats of washing mouth out with soap/mustard/ and perversly as my youngest hates it, tomato sauce !)

I don't think that's my problem - my problem is that, as I shout at him EVERY hour I am in his company (he's a little sh*t) he gets used to it .... where as "Daddy" only shouts on the odd occasion - when he's bitten to draw blood/chewed his way through the next garden and is stuck next door/when he makes a hole in Daddy's new jumper by scratching and biting it ...... things like biting without drawing blood, eating my underwear, lighters, hairbands, shoes .... do not count as being naughty as he is "Daddy's boy" ......

My blu tac keeps unsticking! That is why! I could get those suction things. I just don't want to put sellotape on my walls obviously.

Use hubba bubba -
1. It works
2. It looks colourful and pretty
3. It smells fruity

4. It alludes to the phrase "Hubba Bubba" as used as a description of a pretty young lady, in films such as greece, and TV shows such as Happy days
