I think what the problem here is, is that you know nothing about football. I was trying to demonstrate that by playing the converse "I know nothing about Motor sport" character. If you did know about football, and did play football, and did watch football (and I mean really watch football.......not just a glance leaving the impression that all football is played to the same skill) then you'd realise that like motor sport, and indeed other sports there are certain abilities. I.e. You can get better......... in summation there is a MASSIVE difference between the football you see outside your window, to what you see on the TV, in exactly the same way there is a massive difference between driving on a motorway, and driving professionally on a race track. The reason you don't realise this, is because you have no interest/knowledge of the game. (and I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with that).

For a technical note.....drivers can sweat up to 3 kg of body weight during a race (that is up to, i.e. that is the max) see websites below (the last one being the official web-site)

Now 1 litre of water weigh approx 1 kg. Ergo, 16 litres would weigh 16 kg......... substantially more than 3 kg.

Ability is relative, if you watch a sport you're not normally into, a standard that a fan may call sh*t wouldn't necessarily be sh*t to someone who doesn't usually watch the sport.

Playing a minority sport like table tennis, I get loads of people saying to me 'I played on holiday and I beat everyone', but what they need to understand is that they beat other people who couldn't play; if they were to play someone who plays local league they would almost definitely lose. The same is true in the higher ends of the sport; Alan Cooke, who was England Number 1 until he retired was clearly the best player in the country and for quite a while, but on the international stage he was quite poor.
