If a goal is conceded, the defenders generally have to shoulder some of the blame as well. Likewise, if a shot is stopped by a defender, the keeper doesn't have to do anything. Therefore defenders have the obligation tyo try and keep a clean sheet.

i got yorke cheap at the start cos he was still regarded a man utd reserve player. the keeper is quite new because i took out schmeichel cos he was either letting in goals or not playing. rufus is a good header of the ball. barmby was dirt cheap at the start. Did have Vieria but stuck in Fernandes last week after i forgot patrick was serving a 2 game ban

in terms of players i'd rather have rooney but last weeked forlan was the more likely to start (yet he didnt anyway). i agree with thompson though he looks a quality player...

My team is completly based on a decent performance/price ratio! That and who they're playing next, I figure if they're playing a crap team theres more chance of goals being scored, and thats the extent of my knowledge of the premiership. No wonder I'm so far down.
