To my fans,

It is with deep regret that I must inform you that I have tendered my resignation to the BBC. Unfortunately due to inconsolable differences with a number of people on the Chris Moyles show I am unable to continue in my current capacity as day producer.

I must stress that this will not at all affect my fan site in anyway. I would like to make it clear that I hold no ill feeling to the team as a whole and would wish that you respect this.

I would like to thank Rachel for all her hard work in regards to this issue.

Surely apart from the phrase "inconsolable differences", which makes no sense at all and is just plain nonsense? I think "irreconcilable differences" was probably what the writer was aiming for, and it would have been more convincing if he'd got a bit closer to it.

But that would be grammatically wrong - "Unfortunately due to inconsolable differences with a number of people" was the phrase and the context - the adjective "inconsolable" related to the noun "differences" - ie the differences were inconsolable, not Aled.
