Just woundering, Does anyone know if Radio 1 is broadcast in Australia in any way? Or are you only able to listen over the internet?

I'm more interested in WA (Western Australia) more than anything.

It's not always hot there you know, in some places their winters can be "frikkin freezing" (to quote Dr Evil).

Fowler wrote:No, the winters are not "Frikkin freezing" there, get your facts right. In the winter the daytime temps are still in double figures most of the time. That's not cold is it?

Here you go......

http://www.bom.gov.au/cgi-bin/climate/c ... rature.cgi

the average daily temp in Tasmania can be 3 degrees....... now that's frikkin freezing in my eyes.

Fowler wrote:Haha, found a link that should work HERE and i think you will see the temps on average are above 10 degrees.

Too true, it appears I was looking at the minimum daily temp graph, which showed 3 degrees, I stand very much corrected, well done Flower.

However I still say that 10 - 15 degrees is too cold for a dip in the pool.

Isn't it the case that Australia, as a continent, would have huge variations of Temperature depending on what part you were in. Say as a guess the bottom bit would be colder in Winter than the top bit, and the bit with the prevailing winds would be wetter ?

To just argue Australis is either always hot or always cold, is random and arbitary depending on what part you are specifically refering too ?

Just a thought.

Jack, hi, welcome, Slip on Sun Cream, Slap the child who left it on the floor, slop some beer down to make it feel better, but only if you're in a hot part, and out of view of the Police
