I can write this becuase i know Chris won't rant about this but is it me or are the crews egos so large now that they wont "work" in New York because they "Have Plans" (Can't be asked) It winds me up where they put pay before having a good time and making people happy.

Surely if they put pay ahead of having a good time they would do it as they are self employed, and they would get paid for going, and Dave did say that the last time in New York was rubbish for him. Chris has also gone on record saying that he didn't enjoy the early mornings having to get up at like 2a.m. to record the shows. So basically what you say is fundamentally wrong.

Also Chris is knackered, and desreves a rest. What difference does a broadcast from New York actually make ?

I think Chris would like to go, but in reality it's all a bit late minute.

It occurs to me that is the opposite of what they are doing, they are putting 'having a good time' before 'pay'.

Me neither - and I don't understand what you mean by putting pay before having a good time and making people happy. If they are working in New York, they are getting paid. If they are on holiday, they are not. So they are putting pay first by not earning any? And having a good time - hmm, work/holiday, holiday/work - I know, holiday is a good time. So how are they not putting having a good time first by going on holiday instead of going to work? And making people happy - well of course, no entertainer could possibly have anything else in their lives but the selfish requirements of their so-called fans, could they? So you must be right Dreamextreme, it is obviously appalling that some of the team have chosen to honour their committments to their family and friends and not do what YOU want them to do. They should be lined up against a wall and shot.

By the way - and I feel I need to explain this because I don't think you're going to work it out on your own - I'M BEING SARCASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I suppose it is a little late but if i had a choice between going on holiday which all comes out of my own money or going to NYC being paid for a 3 hour show and then having a good time at the same time which by the way addes great material

Well thats cool, there's nothing wrong with that - but you were having a go at them and implying that they were doing something wrong by not making that choice - your use of the term "egos so large" in a perjorative manner and the reference to being wound up by their personal choices indicates more than that you were just canvassing opinions here - you were having a go, and placing blame because they didn't do what you wanted them to.

Its my fault i shouldn't rant I've been listening to Chris since his Severn Sound (GWR) Days and have a huge achive of bits and bobs I don't know why it took me so long to join the forum

It was a last minute thing anyway! Take a chill pill! If they work anymore they'll burn out, Fridays show was hardly a finale of 10ish weeks of hard slog and illness, they probably couldnt wait to take a break even for a seemingly great opportunity in NwhY. I just wished they'd played that wok game with kielty again, that would've been fun.
