Sadly I havent got it yet and I am dissapointed in 'the system' as I went to too many places trying to find the book, asda, sainsbury's and a HUGE Tesco, none of which had it, i think I have to go to ... dare I say it, a book shop, so much for me getting it cheaply :D

Just tried to buy book in Tesco

It was something like £9.97

It was in position 9 I think BUT sold out.

D'oh

I dont think I will go to a book signing - although would be great to see Chris not paying £7 more! and chances are I will get there too late. (and not be able to take time off work)

Almost finished reading it... Bloody good, so far. I couldn't help but read the book kinda from the view-point of the "on air" persona, until I read got to the bit where he got fired from Pulse (?) and "cried his * eyes out". I guess through only really hearing him banter and joke about on-air, you almost get the feeling that you're listening to an actor in a show, if that makes sense. Hard to explain what I mean, but when I read that bit, it hit home a bit more about the fact he's as human as the rest of us, and made me apprieciate the book more.

I know Chris's ego will make him continually read this thread to see what we think of it, so congratulations, you've done well with it. :)

crack... high.... you better believe it baby.

The royalty is £2.60 per book, and does not change whatever price it is reatiled at, so the Tesco discount sales make as much for fat ass, as waterstones £17 ones, he always gets the same it's the retailers who change margins.

check the times out and you can get in the top ten hard back with > 2000 books, strange but not big money, the money really is not important, enjoy the book, or wait till it comes out in paperback.

Will you guys stop worrying how much he earns and enjoy it or not.

Money is the Root of all evil.

If you havent got the book yet it's only £8.49 in Borders (well it was in the Oxford Street branch in London) but they only had about 11 copies lefton Sunday, they might have all sold out by now
