Spent the morning reading it. Really good, nice insight into his past. I was hoping there was going to be more things we didn't know about the show, but maybe listening to every show I pick up on most things already.

I even had a big smile on my face during the bit he speaks about getting the breakfast show.

Well worth the money.

Picked it up at Tesco Extra today, right after seeing Click at the cinema. Not a bad film IMO, even though it got crap reviews.

Amazon delivered it today. I've just opened it but not read it just yet. Looks very readable and clearly laid out. Top stuff :)

We're going to see that, I think it looks like a decent fun film.

It wasn't what I expected, it was quite sad in parts, but as I said I really enjoyed it. Not a bad way to spend a day off sick anyway.

I saw that yesterday. It was funny and moving at the same time with a great moral underpinning. Very good.

Well I'm on page 67, its a really good book! Will be reading more again later!! The Comedy Dave chapter is good and the bit about Aled is funny hehe!! Made me laugh out loud when reading it earlier in Costas!!!

I paid £13.99 from Waterstones for it and its only £9.97 from Tesco ! :-( RIP OFF BRITAIN LOL.

Well, I'm about a quarter of the way through and so far it reads like he talks. I can't decide if that's a good thing or not. Spoken, it would probably be fine. In print, it reads a bit like a school essay -- this is what I did on me holidays kinda thing. Plus, I feel a bit ripped off at paying a tenner for something that's double spaced and large-ish print and could probably fit in a 150 page paperback. Grr.

Still, it's made me laugh a few times and I guess that's what it's supposed to do.

I'm halfway through the book and have really enjoyed reading it. It's my first biog but it's so easy to read. Had to laugh silly at the story about Dave taking Radio1 off air for 15mins lol

I'm really enjoying the book at the moment, but feel a bit disappointed that i'll probably be finished with it by this time tomorrow - fancy writing a sequel, Chris? :D

I read it last night/this morning (I read the book rather than listening to the show - odd) and unsurprisingly, I absolutely loved it. I think most people on this site will to be honest - there is so much stuff in there for the hardcore fans/anoraks.

The bits about his local radio career were so much more in depth than I had expected, and it was great to hear him writing about old Radio 1 features/memories, as well as the current stuff.

The only bit I wasn't too interested in was the X-Factor chapter, but that's mainly because I wanted to read even more about the show.

Quite a bizarre experience reading it too. Having posted here for three years and discussed the show on a weekly basis, to read him writing about the stuff we talk about on here seemed a bit surreal. Slightly sad but reading it kind of made me feel proud - like he has made it big time or something.

After reading the book it's kind of reminded me why I still love listening to the show so much after all these years - and will continue to do so.

(P.S - The bit about starting afternoons. He has got to have downloaded that clip from here and transcribed it!)

the 'problems' they had while doing the afternoon show with a certain member of staff was quite interesting too. You would have never known that by listening.

Oh no, you can't just post that and not explain to me who and what you are talking about! You've done it on purpose, haven't you, to make me explode with curiosity. I know what it is, you're in league with my leader's Arch Nemesis, Bag for Balls, and he has made you do that because he knows it will kill me, leaving Boboff unprotected by his trusty sidekick! Its a conspiracy I tell you A CONSPIRACY............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have got to be joking, with Hardy, Dickens and Shakespear you think Moyles is the best book you have ever read ?

Now if you had said Trollop, Hornby, Grisham & Child I'd go for it but Moyles ? Don't listen to MC he has a secret thing he imagines when masturbating which perpetuates the lie of the Savior, Carrie in a G String with a Carrot for sorting out the plumbing
