Just listening to it now. She does seem a little rude, but i like it so far, it's better than the boring guests that just sit there and humour Chris.

I could understand what she meant about Dave, he's one of those ppl who dont look how they sound. She just said it the wrong way. However she came across as rude, wanting to move the conversation on as the clock was ticking. I actually switched off after that, thinking she clearly didnt have a lot to say, and was quite stuck up?

Shame as after her time on the Soccer AM show she seemed reserved, and different to her portrayal by the media. The whole "she hates Madonna" story was twisted as the papers only asked who in her opinion was the artist she least disliked.

Exactly... and at least she wasn't sucking up to everyone like the braindead pr**k David Beckham who got good ratings from them as a guest, I thought his interview was dull at best. It just reinforced the low opinion I already had of him.
At least Lily was original and honest in her interview and in my opinion a good guest.

I think her music is very good and (importantly) unique. The fact she has insulted so many people after just one single will either make or break her (but lets face it she's no Eminem so.......)

All that aside, i really like her music and think she has a very unique voice.

Such is Radio 1 I start the week with Lil Chris and then find myself looking after Princess Chav Lily Allen. If I was honest I personally have a little bit of bitter after taste at how things were left with the Allen camp. I loved her. Despite being so different, I loved her in much the same way I love Madonna. The attitude, the honesty yet the clued up nature to the industry behind the scenes.

Asking Chris why he always talks about himself in the interview whilst on his turf is either brilliant / stupid / ballsy depending on which side of the fence you're on. I love a bit of attitude and I really thought the interview was about to get very fun when Chris moved the screens out of the way that was between them and started to lean onto the DJ desk in the way he does in order to look down on the guest and become more imposing. (Yes, I see that stance often). But he didn't shout. Lily didn't seem to follow it up and just seem to mumble her replies and the situation fizzled out.

Chris saved the interview and Lily responded with some fun conversations – of the sort that I saw for the 45 minutes I spent with her when she turned up early. Unfortunately for Lily, Rachel and Dave didn't recover from the moment and therefore gave bad marks for the interview. Not quite seeing Lily stood through the glass in the Live Lounger seething with anger! Already feeling betrayed by my 7/10 (which I admit was harsh) the 4 and 6.5 from Mr Comedy and Miss Producer pushed her over the edge. Egged on by a rebellious Ms Whiley who suggested she should come in to share her feedback all Jocelin could do as the person in charge of looking after her was to shout “Don't swear” after her as she legged it for the studio. Only Chris' love-in for the feisty one stopped her in her tracks and – to some extent – Chris helped smooth things over.

Bystanders in the corridor out of the building report that she left a tad upset which is a real shame. But not before planting a rumour around the building that she had recorded her own rating. Rating the team! Whenever and wherever that turns up it should be interesting. She spent some time in the studio with JK & Joel so maybe they have it?

I'd to would question the logic behind rating the guest, but it's there show and they must realise the obvious risks of doing it. Only amount of time before somebody took it badly.

The rating guests is good as they can admit when a guest crashed and burned. They should keep it to the on air stuff though, arriving early and being nice off air means jack to a listener. It'd also make it more consistent, if the team was asked to organise all the guests into a best of list now together the list would likely to be different to what it is currently is. (Ian Wright and David Beckham better than Will Ferrell ..?)

Chris doing interviews tends to get a good amount of criticism on here and Chris has mentioned on air after intervews texts saying certain interviews were rubbish, seems a bit weird given that that they are booking so many guests lately. I'd rather them be more choosey and not let any 'celebrity' on the show just because they have something to promote.

Either she was very nervous or was just bl**dy rude! She really had one on her yesterday. Chris can cope with most people but he really did struggle with her. I don't think she did herself ANY favours yesterday doing that interview. Her tunes are happy but my was she miserable or what. Good luck in America Lily, you are going to need it! Stick to your web cam shows!

Gotta agree with both of DemonHorses posts. Just cause Lily stuck up for herself a bit and wanted to chat more i dont think is a bad thing really. Chris shouldn't move into Johnny Vaughan territory in thinking he is more entertaining than his guests, that would be bad so im glad in a way she kicked the interview up the arse a bit. Im not a pop/top 40 fan at all im into hard techno and 80s hip hop but i think Lily Allens ok, bit different, the songs are alright and much much better than Britney, Beyonce and most other pop 'stars'. She is real and talks like it is instead of sucking up anywhere to everybody.

Very much agreed. By about halfway thru the interview I was wondering why she'd bothered to turn up. she didn't seem to want to be there at all.

I heard the clip of her rating the team with JK & Joel this morning (which apparently was recorded before she'd heard them rate her) - it sounded very much like sour grapes because she hadn't been given appropriately "starry" treatment and/or asked questions she wanted to answer.
