It's not a unique Radio 1 gig and is actually being held to raise cash for Aids as a cross promotion with Channel 4.

Was told this yesterday but could be slighty wrong.

Can't wait until the gig, then radio 1 might shut up about it and go more than two links without it been mentioned.

But they are always like this with whatever gig, just look at last week with the Killers. My bets, Jo Whiley will talk about it for a good half hour on her show, monday.

You are wrong - the Scissor Sisters gig for Channel 4 is in Trafalgar Square on Saturday (link to details here) and the Radio 1 gig is in Maida Vale on Friday.

I wouldn't be surprised if the BBC film it and put it on BBCi though.
