And Jo Whiley has no discernible personality, so her show is boring, simple as that. I enjoyed it when she was on hoiday and Sara Cox did her show. I like Coxie, she is clever, funny, a bit unpredictable and rude. Jo Whiley is just bland................

I'm sorry but r u crazy?Sara Cox is the pits she's common knows nothing about any music outside the top 40 and very crude.

Calm down, its only an opinion! She makes me smile, is all. I'm not nominating her for Queen or anything......if you would rather listen to someone else, thats fine, I don't mind, we can put on whoever you like. Would you like a biscuit? Do you need your potty? Ok. Oh sorry, thought you were my two year old for a moment there.......

I suppose a voice takes longer to age, when you're on radio and actually can still present, are still interested or involved in that genre of music - then you can go on for years. Annie Nightingale is a great example, as her voice sounds pretty good for her age. She certainly doesn't look 64.

Whenever I've heard or seen Annie Nightingale Ive been surprised that shes that age. I remember being surprised when I first heard her but then you consider she wasnt young when she joined R1 in the first place it makes sense.

The point about Djs ageing slowly can definately be applied to the late John Peel. He may have been in his mid 60s when he died, but I couldnt see him leaving R1 for sometime to come. His shows (when I heard them) still sounded fresh, because he was always willing to grasp new music.

Agreed.

But Fearne Cotton will always sound 12 years old.

Whiley reminds me of the fake radio DJs in the GTA games.
