i cant find the old thread were we discussed weather dave is still with his wife, as he never mentions her. unlike dom who never shuts up about his carpet burns.

on todays show in the link were they were talking about whining girlfriends, about how they talk over your tv shows and over the radio in the car, he was talking about how his wife talked over the sport on the radio...

at least i think its his wife he was talking about. perhaps he dosent mention her loads for fear of the show getting to "family" feeling, witch would travel to far away from the ladish afternoon show?

Unlike a marriage it's hardly something that would be announced on air, even in passing. If it was to do with Chris splitting up with sophie for instance then it probably would be mentioned, even if just briefly since she is mentioned quite a bit, but Dave's wife was rarely included in ancedotes the way she is

In recent discussions about Chris's girlfriend/Aled's boyfriend/Rachel's boyfriend, Dave never mentions Emma. Not once this year I can think of. Also, Chris was mentioning the biog pages here the other week. On Daves it says that him and Emma are rumoured to have split, yet no one has mentioned that on the show and said "what's this all about" or challenged it.

I think I’ve still got some salad stuff in the fridge, but I might have to go the shop in a bit to find something to go with it. Anyway, I’ve got to sign off now because I promised my mum I’d ring her back.

well one thing ive heard on the show, tha hints at there split, is in the link were they said dave was wearing the same old trainers, chris made a passing comment about him wearing the same shirt as yeterday, and dave talked about putting his ditry and not so dirty clothes on the floor, but different sides of the bed? does anyone else remember that?

but Dave has always done that. In the years I have listened to the show they have quite regularly talked about Dave having worn free t-shirts, dressing in the dark etc. Maybe aled can confirm/deny, without having to go into anything other than saying yes or no?

I think we need to concentrate on the Sarah Cox issue. Absolutely talentless, and she relies upon a sense of humour, wholly derivative of the 'Carry On..' style. Dreadful innuendo after torrid story regarding her dog/husband/...when I was in Ibiza type affair. You can pretty much predict everything she'll say each day, as each show is a carbon copy. There will be much pandering to crap rock, such as Kasabian and Razorlight, during which she'll recount a "funny" story about when she met them at 'x' festival......boring!!

And as for Coxy, well i like her, sure she talks about her daughter a little to much, but she's generally pretty funny.

I reckon they must of split up!. I remember when they first started breakfast he used to mention that she switched off when she got to work to save embarrassment from herself. Would'nt want to hear that from your wife would you?. Anyone remember Dave's tale about him having a pizza from a night out and he was going to reheat it but instead of just putting the box in the bin she took the pizza out and then binned the pizza?. She sounds like a nightmare and it eventually ground him down!!. ASK ALED!!

i feel sorry for dave if it has happened, my ex was jsut like that. i think they might of split up casue of the description of daves modern slobby lifestyle. im sure a woman like her, wouldnt have dave leaving clothes everywere? and he didnt mention her at al when he went to his sisters wedding. i think the team have done a great job of not saying anything if it has happened.

i think your over reacing a bit. dave does seem a great guy. ive never met him. but i thin dave of all people dosent really read forums.

if i had the chance to ask him, i wouldnt. that WOULD be meen. and im sure he wound t be ofended by a little forum on the internet?! i mean come on, its a forum, forums are fill of knowbodys! what happens on forums dosent matter at all in real life

I think Dave is the hardest working man in Radio, it amazes me how many gigs he seems to do combined with the live radio work. I remember when he got married and often wondered how his wife puts up with him never being there as he also seems to find time to go to concerts and stuff. I have recently wondered if indeed he is still married as he used to mention her but now never does. I think the lack of mentions combined with his ridicilous work schedule would lead me to conclude that sadly they are no longer together - what do you think?

Seriously, who cares? To be honest, its none of our business if he's split up with his wife. Sometimes things dont always work out - even if you're funny like dave.
