Story from The Sun:

ITV1 have offered Chris Moyles his own show as the channel’s ratings bomb.

The move comes after its worst ever audience share last month. Bosses have sent an SOS to the self-styled “Saviour of Radio 1” — mocked up as Superman, above. And Moyles, 32, will keep his £630,000 job hosting Radio 1’s breakfast show.

Bosses were impressed by the DJ’s stint on X Factor: Battle Of The Stars.

ITV1 audiences have now plunged by nearly 17 per cent in a year. Last month just 16.7 per cent of viewers watched it. Reality show Love Island recently slumped to 500,000 viewers. And last week Phillip Schofield’s Saturday night show It’s Now Or Never was ditched after it was watched by only 1.7million people.

ITV are now banking on the return of The X Factor next month to boost ratings, as well as I’m A Celebrity... and Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway in the autumn.

Gobby Moylesy’s Channel 5 pub chat show nosedived three years ago.

But a source close to the DJ said: “Since his BBC contract relates to radio this enables him to entertain offers from other broadcasters. “It’s surprising the Beeb haven’t snapped Chris up to front a TV show considering how popular he is.”

Anyone remember Live with Chris Moyles ? Now that is taking some of us back.. Granted I wasnt an actual fan but I think Moyles may have more confidents now that he has the Breakfast show. I think previous to this, and past tv apperances he's looked really nervous and out of place.

Lets hope this goes ahead as it would be good to see him on telly more.
