I'm currently setting up a web site dedicated to drinking Carling, and one of the sections I hope to include is a section on drinking games that can be played in the pub. If you have any you think I could use please post them here - they don't necessarily have to be games as such, maybe they're tricks you can play on your friends, that sort of thing.

Cheers

Sort of a trick...

Put two full pint glasses on the top of somebody's hands laid on the table...then walk away.

I like that.

This one looks cool too:

Another game for the insane, very very high buzz factor. As the story goes, nobody has ever won, lost or drawn.

Some tips :

don't play it in a crowded bar (you may lose 'your' barman).
Make sure the bar staff are friendly and can take a joke (very important to avoid a draw).
Don't make any plans for the following morning.

The steps are very simple:

The drinker approaches the bar and orders a shot (whisky, bourbon, vodka, etc., etc..).
The drinker pays for the drink with too much money (i.e. hand over a £5-note for a £2 drink).
As the barman goes away to get change, the drinker shoots the shot.
When the barman returns with the change, go to step number 1.

The game ends in a number of possible ways:

drinker falls over (Result: Bar wins).
barman punches drinker's lights out (Result: Draw).
drinker gets thrown out (Result: Draw).
bar closes (Result: Drinker wins).

Kinda A Trick, i saw it done once, but i was drunk, so im not certain on the technicalities but:

It's a race - you start with 2 pints, and you're challenger with 2 shots.
The rules are that you are not aloud to touch each others glasses with any part of your body, but you may touch your own obviously. Touching an opponents glass results in an imediate loss.
The person with the pints gets a one drink headstart (your challenger will agree, as after downing a pint, it'd still be easy as hell 2 do two shots before a second pint can be downed.

The trick - drink your pint, and tip your glass upside down, and cover one of your oponents shots. They arent allowed to touch your glass to get at their shot, so you can take your time with your second pint, while your challenger bitches.

Laying money on this is the best way to go about it "i bet £5 i can down two pints before you can do two shots, lets make sum rules......."

instant fiver;)

I saw that too. Very funny. :D

Also, next time your footy team play a live game and it's shown in the pub...

If your team score, neck what ever is in your pint glass.
If the opposing team scores, neck a shot (of your mates choice.)

If you are a neutral just choose one or the other.

Chris was talking the other day about a game he played with evans that they called BUZZ. I've played that before, but slightly differently, and it's been called FIZZ-BUZZ.

Basically, you all sit down in a cirlce and go round the circle counting. When you get to a number that is 5 or a multiple of 5 you say FIZZ (e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, fizz, 6...).

When you get to numbers that are 7, a multiple of 7 or have seven in them (e.g. 37), you say BUZZ (e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, fizz, 6, buzz, 8, 9...)

When someone says BUZZ for a 7 or multiple of 7, it also changes direction. Any numbers that are multiples of 5 AND 7, you say FIZZ-BUZZ AND it changes direction.

Messing up, taking to long to count, etc, results in having to drink a shot/finger, etc

ANOTHER ONE!!!!.....

This one goes by the name of FUZZY DUCK:

Round in a circle again, this time all saying FUZZY-DUCK. Someone can reverse this by saying DOES HE WHAT?.

It now changes direction AND changes from fuzzy duck to DUCKY-FUZZ.

If you mess up (usualy by saying "does he *?") you must drink! DRINK DRINK DRINK!!!
