Is it just me or is this weeks top ten one of the blandest and tuneless that I can remember?

10 DANIEL BEDINGFIELD - JAMES DEAN; This sounds like what a single from one of the NSync boys going solo would sound like.

9 ROMEO - ROMEO DUNN; Oh dear. Not really a toe-tapper, is it? mixed with the embarrassing, toe-curling lyrics - this is truely dire.

8 MILKY - JUST THE WAY YOU ARE; Daft, Pointless, meandering holiday tune bilge.

7 MADHOUSE - LIKE A PRAYER; Rubbish - how easy is it to make money? Take the vocals from a Madonna song and put them over an 'oom-cha oom-cha' beat.

6 OAKENFOLD - STARRY EYED SURPRISE; They only half-decent tune in the top 10, although it's difficult to work out how good it is compared tp the other drivel.

5 DARIUS - COLOURBLIND; OK, this is passable - but it does sound like someone is squeezing his testicles on certain notes in the song.

4 ABS - WHAT YOU GOT; I don't think I really need to say anything about this one.

3 TRUTH HURTS ft RAKIM - ADDICTIVE; Tuneless, irritating background, boring vocals.

2 SUGABABES - ROUND ROUND; OK - let's get serious here: who does buy this kiddie pop tripe? I mean would you waste your pocket money on this?

1 BLAZIN' SQUAD - CROSSROADS; Embarrassing, pathetic, just plain awful - and to think it's number 1.

Hey, can't wait to next week guys....when we get another top quality chart!

I think the charts are the most corrupt business in the UK.

Half the records in the top 10 have been bought by record company executives eager to see their young "talent" do well and earn them a bit of dough.

What is the point of listening to the charts when you get bosses delaying the releases of certain records because there is another record coming out that is more likely to go to number 1? (I thought it was particularly scandalous when the Elvis vs. JXL record was taken off sale because bosses wanted Gareth Gates at number 1.)

stop bloody moaning about the charts. these people sell a lot of records most of them wont be remembered in a couple of years. the problem is the changing demographic.... (i just learnt a new word an felt like sharing)

I don't tend to take any notice of the charts anymore, certainly don't listen to them, if I like a song I hear or see on the radio or TV then I'll download it or buy it, if I don't then I ignore it. What does it matter how many copies it's sold to anyone other than record companies and the band? (And OK, if it's your favourite band, like I'd be interested in what position Ash got to, but apart from that...!)

i agree with magenta. the charts rarely reflect anyones particular choice in music, if it was up to me red hot chili peppers would be at number 1, but then other ppl dont like them so its all a load of bollocks quite frankly!

So how many copies did u buy Mr D to ensure she would stay at number one? No need to quote me for this one, a simple answer will do.
