The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

No not humping, I find it hard to remember the last time...its been a while.

When was the very first time you heard Chris Moyles?

Mine was in a gym when I was 16 (where did it all go wrong) which used to play radio 1 over their speaker system. I mistook Chris and Dave for Mark & Lard. It took a few more trips to realise that it wasn't them but alas remained hooked and ended up stopping my fitness regime and pursuing a career as a full time alcoholic.

Can you remember yours?

November 1998. In the car, my brother had Radio 1 on... I was hooked instantly. It became an afternoon ritual to come home from school and turn on R1 and listen with my 100% full attention till 5.45

I honestly think, and as sad as this sounds, my life would be completley different without Moyles. Over the course of 1999, it changed my personality.

When i was in my first year of secondry school during 1999. I used to listen to Mark & Lard (when they were on from 2-4) and one day i decided to carry on listening instead of watching that crap on TV.

It was June/July 2005. Had started my new job and would have gone insane if I hadn't had an iriver mp3 player (thankfully with a radio) - I couldn't pick up Capital at all, which I used to listen back during the awesome C.Tarrant days so I tuned into Radio1 which had a strong signal. Was pretty hooked on the blatent direct comments that Chris come's out with.

Then I downloaded the first Podcast with Drew Barrymore and stayed loyal to the show. It's not just Chris, its the whole team who gel really well together.

Still can't understand why I can't pick up Capital Radio in London when I work so close to the city lol.

would have been summer of 1998. started to listening to mark and lard around end of 1997 and me and my mate adrian would spend our business studies lessons talking about the cheesily cheerful and all that malarkey. i would usually turn the radio off at 4 and not listen to anything other than mark and lard. but i remember the first time i heard his show it was the day mark and lard did a parody of that "get down" dance song and theirs was imaginatively entitled "get up" was funny with lard playing the keyboard.

anyway i was playing championship manager 2 on the intel pentium 2 packard bell in my room and couldnt be bothered to put a cd on so kept listening and loved it. next week i got paid from my after school job went and bought a personal radio and used to listen everyday on the way to work.

Stanta was 2000, so its quite a while ago.

For me it was sometime in 1999 - I remember him doing an impression of Trevor McDonald, bizarrely. I just listened everyday after school and got hooked.

I would have loved to have listened right at the very start though - 1997, when he did the Early Bit kind of without a team, and then 1998, because the shows I have heard from then are superb.

My first proper time was at the end of 2002, on a 6th form trip and listened on the way back on the coach. Thought he was alright and listened a couple of times after that but never really stayed loyal. Then during the long summer of 2003 was when i really got hooked on the show - still some of the best shows I have listened to during that time. I especially used to like the Friday shows, especially the Celebdaq bit, just because of the piss taking.

The Saturday Show, 1998 I'd guess. It was before the afternoon show had started.

First started listening early 2004 when he first started doing the breakfast show. I'd just started a new job where they listened to Radio 1 all the time, they were all massive Mark and Lard fans, as was I, but I became hooked on Moyles as well. Even though I wanted to hate him at first, for some reason, I think most people do, but listening to him properly really does change that.

1996 when he was doing The Late Bit on Capital. I loved that show!

I also heard him when he first started on Radio 1 (at 04:00 - but I think I was asleep again by 04:15).
