Now, the apparantley insulting comments where as follows:-

It would seem these were said because Chris assumed, as would I, that as Eddie is a wrestler, he would be a large person, and would therefore need extra effort in carrying the coffin. I can't see anything wrong with that at all, although the crane comment might be a bit far for some people, it was an off the cuff joke, with no apparant insulting intention at all.

Not only is this phrase wrong, what was said, was said by two different people, neither of which were Chris. It is Joel, putting a good word in for Eddie saying "He's been clean for 4 years now" and JK that says "He washes".
