Hi! What do you use to record shows, is there a way to download them to put them onto my mp3 player (i cant wait until/if they do that for all bbc shows officialy)

Well, I use a DAB card to record it digitally, you can also do it with sky+ and freeview. (thats if you want it to be crystal clear) but as far as it goes, that net transport is an ok way to get your clips.

When i record it i use an fm stereo. Linked into my pc.
Being as Radio 1 is very strong in the midlands it comes out ok.

How about error messages you see? What exactly have you done, what do you think should happen and when? What's your favourite cheese?

That's pointless, if you're saying that any less makes it worse then you need a better encoder downcount. Otherwise you're raising the sile size for no reason.

But i tried to encode it lower than that once before. At 112kbps. And i could tell the fall in quality. 64kbps in stereo was way worse as well.

Aren't the real streams only 64kb/s anyway? Encoding them at a higher value is pretty pointless, unless you have a crap encoder that can't encode to the lower bitrates very well.

The real streams are 32kbps on listen again. 44 on a live stream. I tried 64kbps stereo mp3 straight from a moyles show i got from listen again once. And it just sounded twice as bad as listen again when i encoded it to mp3.
Rubbish.

On a related note, Sarcasm Central, do you know when the trial is ending, I heard it was January, but that wasn't from a particularly reliable source.

All i get when i try and open the NEt or FTP Transport thing is this box come up, no matter what i put in the boxes for 'Part 1 or 2' it never opens

The latest version of NetTransport requires you to pay after a certain amount of time.
