Wondering whether any of you lot could help me out...

Whenever I try and download an MP3 (i.e. like the ones from the sound vault), instead of it giving me the usual option of 'Do you want to open or save the file?', it opens up another window with an embedded version of RealPlayer, which then plays the file.

This is beginning to piss me off as I'm unable to save mp3s to my computer. Is there any way of turning this feature off? I've looked through the RealPlayer settings and I can't seem to find a way.

Cheers to anyone who can help.

Try right clicking on it and then "save target as"

Which browser are you using?

Firefox saves the settings from the last time you download a file (as to whether it is saved in your downloads area or played from a temporary area) This can be turned off in the options, but different browsers have different settings.

Internet Explorer 6.0.

'Save target as' does work, but I'd prefer to have the option to save the file or just open it.

I've found a workaround, open any local folder(my documents). go to tools,Folder options, File types, Select MP3(or whatever), Click advanced, Check "Confim open after download", Click OK and finaly Click Close.
This should be all, if not restart Internet explorer.
