just a thought.

There seems to always be action against those that follow the law, for instance the discussion about refugees, a lot of talk about control of refugees and better assessing of possible immigrants, everyone seems to ignore the fact that there are still a lot of illegal immigrants coming into this country, I would like to see more focus on these.
Another example is 'Driver Bashing', a while ago i was pulled over for speeding, on an urban dual carraigeway doing 42 mph at nearly 4am on a dry moonlit night (not a club night, so no-one around) the police officer wnt through the usual routine (do you know what speed..........etc) then said do you realise an elderly man was knocked down and killed, "yes" i replied, "wasnt that by a stolen car though?" to which he said "i don't see that makes a difference, he WAS going at 30mph" "really!" i said, "why?"to cut a long story short, the driver had stolen the car, was driving at 30mph because he was being followed by a police patrol car (and no doubt staring at his mirror) and it was also the middle of the afternoon, the 'discussion' ended in him telling me that this was an "accident blackspot" and I must be careful. All too often drivers are being punished because of somebody acting outside of the law, and on this occasion the police officer was alone, therefore they are advised not to do anything but warn, I would probably have been booked otherwise.

Words cannot describe how much the police annoy me, and how they think that they are above the law with their general smugness. One of my mates brake lights was broken and she was followed and basically forced off the road by two policemen in a police car, who, after questioning me and her other friends who were there, then took her to the station in his car where she was made to feel like sh*t and wasn't allowed access to her car until they had inspected all her documents. How charming.

Does immigration actually affect anyone? I mean really?

Immigration doesn't bother me in the slightest. The definition of immigration is "the departure of one's native land to settle in another". How come so many immigrants talked about are from non-white countries?

I have no problems with immigrants that come here, get a job and work. The ones who come here and bum off the social annoy me - but then so do British people who bum off the social.

and what about people that break into your house, you're not allowed to even bloody challenge them or defend yourself or YOU end up getting sued and arrested when THEY are the 1s breaking and entering etc....

on that 1 I totally agree with the yanks take on it.

Apparently you are allowed to use "reasonable force", which in my book means anything from a good slap to being shot to pieces.

I still think Tony Martin was wrong though.

Why?

It could have been someone else who was armed he'd be up against, he had no way of knowing it was 2 robbing c**ts who couldda killed him for all he knew. Tony Martin's reaction was entirely natural, no-one thinks to arrest the one trying to sue coz he shudnt have been there.

You have to admit, it would be a hell of a deterrant to burglars if they knew once they're inside your house they're fair game for anything that happens to them.

I know I'd do whatever I could to protect self and family first, then property, f**k what the police tell you about all this 'reasonable force' BS. It's such a bloody grey area that whatever you do you could get arrested instead of whoevers actually doing the crime

 I agree , they shouldn't be in a position to be shot in the first place, i.e. on someone else's property robbing it.

I don't think it matters who gets in. The people in the middle like me will just get taxed unfairly anyway. Am going to vote as I think its wrong not to but have never felt so apathetic about an election.

Really, if you have a poll card you should turn out even if you void your vote at the polling station.

If all the people who have the right to vote dont, it doesnt make us too much of a democracy.
