That's one of the things stopping me. How do I know what to look for?

I don't understand why people have the looks or personality debate. A person isn't made up of just the way they look or just their personality but a combination of both. Besides, it's not often easy to explain why you like one person as opposed to another. You can like someone for a variety of reasons, some of which you might not even understand yourself. Love doesn't ask questions, as the saying goes.

Ah, i see my attempt at sarcasm has been misinterpreted once again. Perhaps in future i should stick to the philosophical posts (see above)...ahem.

Siddler watch how she behaves around you. Do you usually go out places just the two of you? If so say that theres a film on you want to see(or whatever you fancy doing) and casually ask her if she fanices coming. If she says no then you haven't really been turned down for a date. If she says yes then you can move towards the goodnight kiss.

Thats how guys have done it to me before.

'tis a good idea, but I never really get time to go to the cinema.

Well what do you enjoy doing and have time to do? A partner ends up taking up quite a lot of your time and in the end if you don't have time to go to the cinema how are you going to cope with the demands (well most girls/guys are pretty demanding) of a girlfriend?

I would hope Gaspode that you don't mistake doggy companionship to human. Its illegal and cruel to have sex with dogs.

My point was that to maintain a good relationship you need to be willing to devote a certain amount of time and effort to it.

ah now see, I've tried to work with that theory in the past, become a mate, THEN move things on.... but I always (and I do mean without exception) that I was more like a brother than a boyfriend... so i tried a different approach and bagged meself the current squeeze.
