The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

For you - maybe. But I hate hard rock and all this garage and rnb shite... which Radio 2 plays none of. Theres a lot of the songs on Radio 1 like Idlewild and Oasis which I like - which Radio 2 also plays. Plus Radio 2 plays a lot of old music which is great.

In the morning you have your Terry Wogan vs Sara Cox. Sara Cox is stupid - the show is crap and she is not funny. Terry Wogan is.

Ken Bruce vs Joe Whiley. Don't mind what I listen to but usually Ken Bruce.

You then have your Jimmy Young - who can be informative but I usually turn over to Radio 1 at this point just to hear music, Joe Whiley aint that bad.

I would then listen to Mark and Lard as they are funny...

This week - Emma B vs Steve Wright. Now seriously - who am I gonna listen to? Steve Wright - funny, plays good music or Emma B who's shows are all the same, most of the songs are crap and thinks shes funny but isn't.

Of course if Moyles was on I would listen to him.

Dave Pearce vs Johny Walker - need I go on...

In the evening - I am not that big a fan of Jon Peel, some of the songs are ok but most of them I dont like so I listen to Radio 2 - a lot of good old songs and new songs. And then, well overnights on Radio 1 are crap - so Radio 2 all the way....

Am I just getting old?

I'll take Emma B over Steve Wright any day thanks. Sycphonatic Shite. I see your point, I just find the whole 'isn't Radio 2 hip now' thing begins to grate. Its the most popular station in Britain they proudly tell us and how did they acheive this,by being the safest, blandest, most formatted example of turgid broadcast currently available. At least Radio One have DJs with taste who aren't afraid to speak their mind and screw with the formula occasionaly.

I'm afraid to say I'm unfamiliar with the work of the afformentioned artist, personally I prefer to hear no 'Sting', 'UB40', or 'The Beautiful South. Hence 88-91 is out.

The results so far, baring in mind you can only get a maximum of %20 of the vote, the votes will be worked out as a percentage of votes cast(=20).

1 Chris Moyles(Radio 1) 95%
2 Mark and Lard(Radio 1) 85%
3 Simon Mayo(Radio 5 Live) 30%
4 Jonathan Ross(Radio 2) 20%
= Jo Whiley(Radio 1) 20%

= Steve Lamacq(Radio 1) 15%
= James Whale(Talksport) 15%

I was once part of the Radio Cornwall young Farmers quiz back in 1998/1999. I was a member of Callington - who won it in 1998 and 1999, and it was broadcast on paul wills' show
we won a trip to the isles of scilly and we went on a serious bender round hugh town on st mary's. it is still my worst hangover and loss of time around 5 hours

wahey, i entered a a competiotion at the my local county young farmers' rally last year. the contest was called "radio YFC".
it was shit. the studio was a flatbed trailer with a crappy little tape deck and a 20/30 watt P.A. system.
