Yeah, it's by far the best of the series, excellent gameplay and the graphics are really good, doesn't compare to Resident Evil 4 though.

i just cannot see the DS taking off, even if it is 100 quid cheaper than the psp

I'm not bothered if it takes off or not, at least it's doing something different, unlike the PSP, which is just a handheld PS2, but still, I'll probably get one of those too as long as it's not too overpriced and has new games, not just PS2 ports. The PSP will undoubtably sell more though, despite the price, because the clueless chavs/casual gamers will snap it up just because its "Sony" and "cool".

i think it will be cool though for people who dont have the net or anything like that. the nintendo looks dated and doesnt have as many functions.

i went and bought the sonic mega collection for the ps2

That's because its purely for gaming, and not a multimedia device. I got Mega collection the other year when it came out on the 'Cube, I forgot how unfair and unforgiving Sonic games can be, my controller now sounds like a pair of Maracas now cause I've thumped it in frustration so much. I wish Sega would release an Alex the Kidd and Wonderboy collection.

It's a stylus for the touch screen.

So you can write on the screen? Isn't that what a keyboard is suppose to be for? :)

It is used instead of the d-pad for moving the character etc. I played the demo of Metroid Prime: Hunters in Gamestation and the stylus is used in exactly the same way as would use a mouse in a PC FPS, to look around and stuff, it really is pretty great, you half to try one yourself.

I wasn't really planning on getting one, despite having percivered with Nintendo through the Cube and N64 - but when I played the Wario Ware Demo in Virgin I knew I had to get one.

Mafro is right - you really do have to try it

Try fitting a keyboard into something that size? That's why PDAs have styluses too... , and sometimes an onscreen keyboard that takes up half the screen.

Thanks Mafro, they sound interesting. :) Do you only get them for games playing machines or are they available for regular pc's as a mouse alternative?

Nah, the DS has a built in touch screen which you use the stylus on, the stylus is just a plastic pen for using on the screen. There is also a plastic bit on the DS's wrist strap that you can put on your thumb and use instead of the stylus. You can get touch-sensitive mouse mats for PCs that work in the same kinda way I think.

I used to like playing Golden Axe with my brother lol. We usually ended up ignoring all the bad guys and just fought each other instead. :)
