I happen to like Limp Bizkit. Granted, they're not to everyones taste (I notice you call them teeny-bopper metal - am I to assume you're a Slipknot fan or are you into the really heavy black metal stuff?).

As for "paving the way for other shite american nu-metal bands", I'd argue that Linkin Park, Papa Roach et al are far preferable to most of
the other bilge that seems to masquerade as music these days.

At the end of the day, everyone has different tastes. This is one of the advantages of living in a free country - free choice.

Yes free to like whatever music you want and to give your oppinions on what you like. However I think appreciation of music and giving qualified oppinions on what is considered good music is not the same. Just because you like somthing, dosnt stop it being considered poor as lets say a technical piece of work (musicaly speaking or somthing ).

Really though I dont like Limp Bizkit, but they have produced some decent tracks that even though I wont listen to them from choice, dosnt make them bad, technicaly, although, its still slighly objectionable.

If you dont like somthing fine, if you do like somthing, also fine. However musicly inept bands/artists cant be considered good just because you happen to like lisening to them, do you see?

However, your argument doesn't really make sense because if you turn it around what you're basically saying is just because something is crap technically (musically or something), doesn't stop it being considered good. Seeing as that is the antithesis of your argument in the first place, it's kind of redundant.

At the end of the day, everyone enjoys different things. These types of discussions, be it "that band is crap" or "that show is lame" or whatever always come down to the fact that some people are too ignorant to accept that some people may disagree with their tastes. Except if Will Young is getting a slating of course, in which case anyone defending him for any reason is a moron.

(I'm not calling anyone involved in this or any other discussion ignorant by the way, before anyone gets the arse).
