That's weird you say that; because I saw some of tonights' show and thought to myself; why does everyone make such a fuss about Graham Norton? He's not funny, he's on the TV far to often, and basically he gets on ones tits.
I also feel I am alone in the world in thinking that Austin Powers is totally unfunny too.

i like austin powers its pretty funny in a drunk when you watch it way. graham norton is occasionally funny but channel 4 put him on all the time an now hes just irritating

As everyone is adding thier two cents i'd like to say why are american sitcoms not funny IMHO thier animated sitcoms are far better i.e. The Simpsons, South park occasionally and Family Guy. Friends is definately not funny, i mean Matthew Perrys one liners(onscreen not in his dressing room) are they funny? no hes sooooo * predictable i could read his lips and that Italian guy playing dumb how predictable is that, give me Manuel and Father Dougall anyday rather than them Friends and Scrubs programmes. Yes, whilst not wanting to sound xenophobic, I would say that Americans do have a sense of humor(sic), but it must be rather different to ours.
American sitcoms tend to be lamely scripted, badly hammed-up acting and totally unrealistic characters; how many times have you watched a US sitcom and someone has done a set-up for the punch-line and you know exactly what the punch-line is going to be? too many times.
And with Austin Powers, it's one of those cultural things that if you don't find it funny and express so, you are regarded as some sort of social outcast. * it; I'm sick and tired of being told what I should and shouldn't like.

I'm not one set way or the other: there's some British comedy that I think's great and there's other that I think is rubbish. Same with American comedy, although generally I like the British style. Some things about UK comedy you just don't get anywhere else.

Nice to see someone with half a brain - why does everyone feel the need to be one way or the other. Saying "all American (or British) comedy is lame" is like saying "all northeners are dole-dossing thieves" - it's just a wild generalisation.

Fair enough, that's a personal opinion, which is what this whole debate basically boils down to. Let people enjoy watching the shows they like. If you don't like a particular show / film, don't watch it.

Oh, and getting back to Graham Norton, I reckon his show has suffered since going five nights a week, but theoccasional show is great - the one with Steve Irwin was top notch.

Is it that we have now got bored of the same format each night? Speaking to the Audience and taking the piss out of them and finding out that their mum once caught them wanking in their bedroom. Then introducing the special guest (some of whom, I've never heard of in my life) in some crappy wig or dress....

the draw full of things. looking on the internet. surely, a makeover is needed.

Talking of talk shows. Is there a date to when Moyles is on Channel 5. Now- this Talk Show that he's doing in the Style of TFI, maybe good- but it takes sometime, getting used to seeing moyles on tv. is this the start of the trans. from Radio DJ to TV Star. Don't seem to be seeing much of Sara Cox lately. Jamie Theakston was once again on Sport Relief (Who saw that? That Co-Star (Fat, on BBC Sport???) was trying to flirt with JT.

Since the Days of BBC Choice when Moyles was on there. I'm way too younger fan to know anything about Moyles TV Career.
