I click to download the sound machine which is fine, then I unzip it using winzip which works but when I click on the unzipped file all it does is bring up a box to unzip it or run winzip. What am I doing wrong as I've never had any trouble with unzipping other files?

That's all I can think you're doing wrong.

open the folder to which you're unzipping the file in windows explorer and click soundmachine.exe

Due to oddities of the server that is hosting the files, it is a self extractor inside a zip file.
