Ok so we started up this forum about 3 months ago. It took a long time to get it running at a decent pace but i think we might possibly finally be getting there. Its really cool now and im posting this poll coz it was this site that gave me the initial inspiration.

Also it would be great if i could get a thumbs up from the admin and any tips on how to get more members... speaking of witch, sign up if you get the time, everyones welcome

The funny thing is the fame and visitors that these random boards strive for is often their downfall. A cheapo £5/year hosting account is great for a web page to show your granny - but once the hits start coming you've got to think of ways to spread the load - or get kicked out. Despite promises, you wait to see how far your 'unlimited bandwidth' goes once you start to impact the other 400 sites hosted by the same machine.

Now this isn't the most popular site in the world, but it's hosted from five separate machines, three of which do little else but provide content for us. Running a popular site takes time and management - and in the case of this place, a whole bunch of generosity

word up, especially when this site serves so many larger files - bandwidth eaters.. what you need for a site is either, an original idea or a unique selling point, which your site has and others along the same lines do not. *nods*

i wouldn't really mind getting spammed if it was a half decent site which was actually worth my time to visit, but this one is rubbish so.. yeah
