........ text a landline from a mobile? I discovered it yesterday, I was sending a text to someone but I accidentally sent it to my house (I didnt even realise at the time). About a minute later the phone rang and a robot told me i had a message, who it was from and then PERFECTLY READ IT OUT!

Its made life easier by only spending 10p to tell someone on a landline instead of the ridiculous prices. And it doesnt matter if the landline is ntl, bt etc, they all work!

Try it out!

It depends what network you are on and whether your landline is bt compatible.

It worked for me, but I had to use +44 instead of 0. I'm on Vodafone contract if it matters.

I think all the mobile networks support it, it just depends wether you're trying to send the message to a BT landline or not.

If you have 1571 it will probably leave a message, or ring you back later.

It doesn't work with an orange pay as you go mobile - I've tried 0 and +44 and yes, before you ask, I was trying to send it to a BT land line

I'm sure it won't matter what contract you're on, or what network - because when you come down to it, all text messages are the same whether they've been sent from a T-mobile or a Vodafone phone.. You just have to have to be sending to a BT landline it seems - which mine isn't :( Nevermind..

Well that's what I would have thought. I'm not quite sure why it didn't work for Eddie though.
