I may be slightly biased but I think it's a good idea.

Conversations about the show in other threads normally drift way off topic so this forum offers the chance for people to discuss the actual shows (or reviews) without this distraction, plus it also might encourage some new people to join and post on the board.

There will also be less empty topics created from now on as I will post them weekly instead of daily when Chris returns from holiday.

my only problem is that if we get many more forums its gonna take all week to look between them.

I agree that the board has got quite a few forums and with the amount of members the board has these days it is very hard to keep up with posts. I go away at weekends and usually check the board on the friday before I go and the sunday evening when I get back and it can take an hour just to look at the board

An hour isn't that much, its about that when I check my inbox for new e mails - once you've read and replied back to them its can take about an hour - similar to here really.

I think I read Chris H saying that it was a test to see how it went. By the looks of things people think its a good idea, yet not many people comment..

Don't read it all then. Most of it's comparable with dishwater anyway.

You obviously make the majority of the dishwater then, Sidla. ;)

Time for Topher to put some more fairy liquid in..

Although nobody seems to have noticed, it's the only area of the board you can post without registering. Thought it might make some more of the people who read the reviews comment ...

No, I didn't realise this. I was thinking maybe you should encourage more of the people that read the reviews to comment. They obviously do not realise that you can comment without reigistering.

i noticed, as you said it just after you created that part of the forum

does MC say on his reviews that you can comment on the show and you dont have to be a member (i know he has/had a link to that part of the forum)

i've only noticed 2 or 3 guests in there, could be because they dont know

Well if you bothered to read the reviews yourself Adam you would know that I have mentioned this several times, as B26354 says. However, there wasn't exactly a huge response when I did mention it so I stopped. It seems most people who read the reviews are either members on the board anyway, or people who just want to read about the show and not comment on it.

Having said this, quite a few people do comment on the Radio 1 site about the show - they just haven't found their way here yet. This may change if Moyles mentions us about the 1 million hits thing though. I also do think it's worth keeping the separate comments forum, despite the lack of posts.

I mainly only read the reviews if I can't be bothered to listen to a show so I wouldn't comment on a show I haven't heard.

Is there much traffic to the reviews through the link provided on Moyles' minisite - Chris?

I like people who do that. Show's they don't give a shit. :)

Anyway, back on topic.

I like how they have decided to create a thread for each week. Good to see some replies coming in.
