Jeremy Clarkson has had a pop at Moyles in his column in todays Sun:

Clarkson wrote:May I just say a big thank you to Chris Moyles and his team on Radio 1 breakfast show. Since Chris started presenting the programme my whole family listens to the far more civilised Radio 2 every morning.

It's a good job Clarkson is a tosser otherwise I might care about his opinion.

It's only because of him I don't watch Top Gear or whatever it's called often.

I noticed this as well. Its funny and I enjoy reading his article. Hardly a pop to be honest. Just found out that his show is filmed down the road from my house.

Yeah, not much of a pop. He often goes on about how he finds Radio 1 'loathsome' and radio 2 fantastic. I find it hard to disagree. I always read his column and motoring bit in the Sunday Times.

Surely he isn't target audience though so I don't think Parfitt and co will be losing any sleep that a 40+ year old doesn't like Radio 1. Clarkson is a prat but that doesn't stop Top Gear from being a quality show...

Will his coloum be banned in a couple of weeks due to the new BBC Rules about employees having coloums in newspapers? Our local newspaper has a BBC Radio Scotland broadcaster doing a coloum in it and it has had to be stopped.

Kilroy should really of taken note.

However Clarkson may not be a BBC employee...

He probably isn't. Chris isn't employed by the BBC is he?

BBC radio 1 I think is classed as part of the BBC

They are referring to the fact that Chris is freelance and not BBC staff dopey.

But although not technically employed by the BBC, the BBC still employ his services, so would that mean he's allowed to write newspaper columns or not?

Well, that's like the guy up here..his main source of salary comes from the BBC, so he is no longer to write his column in the local newspaper.

although Chris may be Freelance... is main source of income will be Radio One so he probably wouldnt be allowed to write a coloum.

However, will Jermy Clarksons main source be the BBC?

i slightly feel a bit sorry for kilroy even though hes a twat

1. the same column was used word for word last april and not one person bat an eyelid so its strange now to see it being ripped to shreds.
2. surely if his programme gets taken off the air then clarkson should be taken off top gear as well because of his constant racist jibes about the french. or is the french not considered to be in the "politically correct" countries.

Some of us may have gathered that if you haven't seen the story about Kilroy.
