Now i more than understand I am going to get a complete shouting at for this, but oh well. Im living in the Leeds area and I listen to Galaxy 105. The morning show "Hirsty's Daily Dose" recently had a feature which I belive they are to bring back next monday. Basically it involved prank calls with the voice of an old woman. I found it hilerious and wondered if anyone had these voice's/a clip of the feature? Please don't have a go at me im sorry if I have offended anyone lol.

I used to listen to Hirsty a few years ago when he was on my local station (HallamFM). He was quite good but then he suddenly disappeared.

Surely you should of been able to get Galaxy where you are then and noticed he'd moved there.

Hallam is getting crapper. God knows how 'Phone Boy' became a Dj (He's from Barnsley aswell) .

I agree Hallam is getting worse, I almost never listen to it anymore. I remember the good old days with Daryl Denham on breakfast.

I think they made Phoneboy a DJ because he is cheep and makes the station sound less ‘London’. (By the way, Phoneboy is some random 18 year old from Barnsley who used to answer the phones for Tom Binns (who was very good) but somehow managed to get the evening show).

Phone Boy is never off though. It use to be just the 10 O'clock show with the phone in's about weird stuff and a weekend show, Now it seems everytime i turned Hallam on he is filling in for someone.

I also thought he was gay but apparently he has a gf.

I tuned in a few weeks ago and I heard some professional, bland type DJ saying they where 'in for phoneboy'. I never thought it was that way around. He used to answer the phones for Dixie for the request show first.

However, when he was the phone operator / producer / BA / sidekick on Tom Binns’ show he was a great comedy partner. Tom ‘invented’ a game called Barnzi where he set phoneboy lots of wacky stunts, such as going to McDonalds and ordering pizza and Burger King foods, then driving away after before they could collect the food. That show was as funny / funnier than Moyles.

Well we are spoilt for choice over this side of the hills - Galaxy 102 (sh*te), Century FM (used to be okay but sh*te now) and Key 103 (sh*te apart from JK and Joel)

oh and as for that thing about cheap yound djs, there is a 20 year old girl on key 103 called michelle who does overnights and she also got a job after work experience, making tea etc, then became a producer and then got on air (must have slept with the boss as it's the only explanation) and has being doing the same god damn show awfully for about 3 years now...
