Ahhh, I know where you're coming from. I'm thinking the same thing. I think they might finish mid-table.

Coxy's big ones won't save the breakfast show because most people have stopped listening because of school or work by then and prefer to listen to current music rather than some of the music on Coxy's big ones

See I think Radio One need more older songs, as will a few other people on here I think.

While we're back on the subject, it could be that Coxy's Big Ones (if it's still going) is a management idea along with Tedious Link to work something into the shows and try and get older music in, if they have at last started listening to their audiences. A subtle way of saying 'we were wrong, here's what you want' perhaps.

Agreed. Radio 1's Playlist can get too repetitive sometimes and certain songs in my opinion have been ruined by far too much Radio 1 airplay - Coldplay: Clocks springs to mind. We should definitely be encouraging a bigger mix of music on daytime Radio 1, so if they are going to play an hour of non-playlist tunes in the morning then it can only be a good thing...despite Sara Cox being the disc-jockey

Radio 1 should follow in the path of virgin radio and do something like play a certain song only once a day.

Yeah, I think there are too few songs being played over and over again. It only contributes to market saturation, and everyone gets sick of it after a certain period of time, even if the song hasn't been released yet.

I prefer to listen to the breakfast show when Colin and Edith are in charge, they should take over breakfast. Coxy's big one's won't save the show coz loads have people have gone to work or school by the time it comes on.

Have said this, I have actually listened to more of her show since the Big Ones started, before inevitably switching over to Ken Bruce at 10.

I'm afraid the writing's on the wall for Coxy now

Colin and Edith were in for her again today and are on Monday as well

She is seemingly taking days off when she wants them and working 3 day weeks every other week

She obviously hasn't got anything new up her sleeve after 3 years on Breakfast (even her big ones won't save her now) and I'm sure her figures will no doubt continue to drop and drop

Most radio stations have their best presenter/s on breakfast and it is perfectly obvious that sara cox isn't even in the top 5 at Radio 1

My only hope is that when the inevitable happens and she leaves that show, she doesn't come and sabotage afternoons before Moyles...

what if she knicked moyles' show slot. Apparently she has a clause in her contract that says she can stay at breakfast or move onto another show time. She better not knick his show slot.

She wouldn't have a contract that could clash with someone else's contract. If she can move on to another time I would think that it should be as and when that slot becomes available, otherwise the others would be up in arms and they would be buying people out of their existing contracts to fit in a (let's face it) crap DJ.

[It's obvious Mark and Lard will go to Radio 2 or 6 Music within the next 2 years and the worst thing that could happen would be Sara Cox on 1-3pm before Moyles
