Yeah, but compare our bilge with the abundance of bilge that comes out of the states. Why they even bother funding tv movies is beyond me. And then the ones that actually make it to the cinema aren't much better, just rehashed storylines from previous movies these days.

especailly the Italian Job, which i refuse to watch. i liked the original too much!

Yeah, whenever the trailer came on at the cinema I'd be muttering 'blasphemy' under my breath.

They do have a habit of nicking our classic movies and tv series and making their own versions. Why bother?

With movies they're more subtle, they'll take the plots and change the names. It's cos they're getting desperate now, they're out of ideas.

Though with tv series it's pretty ridiculous. They've done their own versions of Cold Feet, Red Dwarf, Men Behaving Badly, Coupling, Whose Line is it anyway etc etc

But on the rare occasion that they tried to do it the other way round and make a tv series out of a failed movie it actually turned out very well (Buffy).

You have to ignore the orginal Italian Job and look at it as a Modern heist movie and it's actually pretty damn good make all better by the excellent cast and characters.

Yeah, it might be a great film, but why did they have to call it the Italian Job.

As BMW wanted them to use the new Mini and it shares the same characters like Charlie Croker and Bridger.
