Halon Menswear is the next most prestigious music prize after the Mercury, held annually on Mark and Lard. First prize being a £25 gift voucher at Halon Menswear.

This years winners were the Houghton Weavers who fought off the likes of Blur, the Thrills and Elbow.

I think both Bernard Wrigley and the Houghton Weavers are mates of Mark and Lard. Halon Menswear is a shop a couple of doors down from BBC Manchester.
