Why no show today? I wasn't listening yesterday, and I hope there may be some good reason why. Even so, 't TV guide says it should be on.

I'm sure they've done this before, and then just gone on the next day without explaining themselves. Very strange indeed.
ps
BBC runners seem to have far too much time on their hands; posting long messages and the like. Nonetheless, if he's genuine, he's a geeza for standing up to the nit picking some gave him.

Yes, all was explained on today's show (17th)
who was the bloke who's funeral it was?
All credit to Chris for mainting respect & dignity although telling the bit about Timmy Mallet. Timmy Mallet was great in his day.

I didn't hear the start or the end of today's show (I did hear Lizzies quiz....???????!), so don't know what the Timmy M story is about.....
but Chris W was basically a booker, I think he may have done some Producing in his time too...anyway, he was only in his mid thirties and died over the festive period. He was deemed as one of the best celeb' bookers in the business - whoever you wanted on your show he would make it happen. He was a great loss to the business - very respected.
xx
Chris was telling about how Timmy Mallet was at his mate's funeral and he nearly laughed because of picturing sticky plasters and Mallet's Mallet etc.
Lizzie's quiz was absolute ****e. Can't be bothered to explain why I think so, but crass nonetheless.
