Ive been an avid listener of mr moyles for 3 years now but recently i find myself not bothering to listen and switch off half way thru the show. No features, not that funny and lizzie and will r crap. I also feel his show could be 2 long, didnt think i would ever say that, but i just reckon he could go the same way as evans if he doesnt watch.
REPLY

Today it was cos he didn't want to be there, and features to do seem to be drying up. But I still don't find him boring.
And I don't sit down in front of a radio and listen hard for 3 hours. I just have it.. on, no harm can be done.

he was a bit ****e today. like dr says, a bit like yesterdays zoo. that was v weird to start off with :).
on the other hand there were redeeming points, he was on 'till six, and dave's song about football on tv was pure class. anyone record? dr must have done of course :)
last saturday's show was pretty good.
and as weekdays are concerned. . as ionic says, i just have the radio on, and, when school is on, it's just something to listen to while i lie on my bed, eat, and watch tv / play playstation.
BUT it is considerably lacking in features. culshark's a tit, and car-eoke is only just passable, should hopefully pick up after the demise of the saturday shows.
we had this debate a while ago, and i wrote some toss then about it then. the "hiya" and other catchphrase overkill period caused the show to be very good untill the sfx overuse got annoying. i'm sure it'll pick up again soon and go in a peak and trough pattern until whenever.
for now i'm not overly arsed, as dave would say, anyway.
[This message has been edited by Monkey (edited 27 August 2001).]

thanks bob. one more thing - the show is too long, was better when it was from four. too diluted with songs now. also was better for school goers. blah blah.

HI, first post!!
I can honestly say, that YES moyles' show has been lacking in quality recently, but as it has been said already, he didn't want to be there, who wants to work on a bank holiday?
I believe that although the show quality has been deterearating, it's only a small difference, and the only reason we notice the change at all is because we're used to such a high standard of comedy on the show.
Who can honestly say they have heard a funnier DJ and more entertaining DJ that Chris Moyles?
Thanx

I preferred it when it was shorter too and now apparently he's getting another hour...Hopefully the show wont go downhill. I usually find the first hour is the funniest, they just use up all their material then and the rest of the show they just wing...

No he wont be getting another hour, the press release made it sound like he would be getting another hour, but it meant he would be concentrating more on the third hour that he got when Mayo left.
I personally think 3 hours is fine at the mo, especially with the demise of the Saturday show. More rants, and less emphasis on features (like the abysmal car-eoke) would help. Although a daily competition with a decent prize would be an idea.
