The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Not that I want to make an arguing point out of the tragic death of Aaliyah... but I heard the start of the rhythm nation and there was Emma B doing a voice over saying 'This show is a pre-record - at the time it was not known of the tragic plane crash in the Bahamas that killed 9 people including Aaliyah; there will be a special show later paying tribute to her life' or something like that.<br>Now if u listen to the Rhythm nation u would think it was live - obviously not.<br>This begs the question: what other shows on Radio 1 are pre-recorded ?? I'm not suggesting that Moyles' show is but maybe those jibes about the Dreem team's 'Pre-recorde shows' arn't as 'jokey' as they first appear.........

nice point. Dave once phoned the newsbeat people telling them that chris was recorded and he's going to ask "how are you?" and asked her just to say "hi" back in order to comply with the tape. Chris, in fact doing the show live, then proceeded to also ask her if she'd had a nice weekend also; which (as was evident from her tone) confused and worried her. They then explained the joke they'd done to her and us. Quite funny if you'd heard it. But it suggests it was quite possible for him, or any of the dj's to have been recorded or to BE recorded at any time. But i wouldn't think moyles' show has been recorded on any of the shows i've listened to. You never know though  :)

I have only ever been aware of 2 of Moyles shows been recoreded....  Christmas 2000 and Christmas 98....<P>Look at the webcam - it is always a clue  <IMG SRC="http://chrismoyles.net/ubb/biggrin.gif"><P>on the Christmas 2000, the webcam picture was Baldie Greg sitting in a studio on his own  :)<P>But Chris admitted that the show was recorded cause he was doing interviews with people like Billie saying "So what have you been doing today" and Billie would go on to speak about Christmas dinner and then Chris would then go "you liar - it is actually December 12th and your about to come down to the pub with us  :)"<P><br>It wouldnt surprise me if shows like Trevor Nelson or Tim Westwood were recorded.<P>David

Many of the specialist music shows are on tape.Tong,Jules,Fontane,etc.Simply because their shows appear at the weekend which is also when they happen to be gigging.Jules appeared at Gate Grasher in Sheffield every Friday night last year, yet he was on Radio One from 9pm-11pm.

If you remeber last years moyles christmas special it was so poor as it was 100%obvious that it was recorded..plus he mentioned they had been recording bits for the past month before it was actually broadcast
