Ever since Moyles has been away - almost all the topics on this forum have been 'Emma B is C*ap' 'Emma B is rubbish'
1( Have u lot not got any lives? can't u live without radio 1 for 2 weeks?
2( When I posted some stuff criticizing Moyles a few weeks ago,the replies I got were 'U don't have to listen' 'there's an off switch' - It seems the same people are criticizing Emma B; I think the word is 'hypocrites'
3( I don't like listening to her shows either really - but I think I can just manage to find something else to entertain me for the next few days(!)
I guess some of u peeps havn't unfortunately.
Oh dear....
I suppose Trash's stunt is some kind of justice for her being made of crap. As for her covering for Moyles, I don't mind. She's quite unfnny when she messes up (i.e. every 10 minutes) and she's off the air most the time because she plays so many records. Shes not the worst presenter by any stretch of the imagination. For the past few day I have been listening to a LOT of Radio 1, 11am-10pm and then 12am-2am. Through this time, I have heard some amazing stuff - especially in the wee small hours (Giles Peterson + Mary Ann-Hobbs) that I would have never heard before. Sarah HB would have been a better replacement for Moyles, in my opinion, if you want a playlist-friendly personality-free female presenter (á la Jo Whiley, Emma B, Sarah HB, Nemone).
Oh well, listen to some late night Radio One - some great music you've never heard. Don't listen to Peel though, cos thats just plain crap.
the_dr

you fool!!
peelie is god. the miss black america session last night was excellent, and tonights repeat by the aislers set (sp) is, as far as i can remember, rather spiffing. where else could you hear back to back records by death metallers from nottingham, some european bloke whistling and some twee indie pop. peel is the best show on radio 1 by some distance, and i urge everyone to listen to it. no one can like all of it, but everyone should find something they like.
hobbs can be decent aswell. i like the breezeblock and the rock show deviates from awe inspiring (hundred reasons, nile, boyhitscar) to garbage (static x, taproot).
giles "whispering bob the second" peterson bores me a bit, but its quite good in a half asleep kind of way

Ok, ok, I'll give Peel a go. This is the exciting life I lead - I've got to decide whether to watch Newsnight or listen to Peel. If Paxman is on, then I'm definately watching some of Archers friends get their asses whipped, but if he's not then I'll probably listen to Peel if you say so. Giles is too cool to be true - he's just so laid back. Even if he is boring, it's not about him - it's about the music.
the_dr

I've been listening to more of Radio 1 this week as well. I've been listening to Sara Cox, Nemone, Mark and Lard, Emma B, Dave Pearce and Steve Lamac. All I usually listen to is Moyles!

xfm saves my monkey ass in the morning too. only when you hear the jam back to back with super furries will you appreciate the genius that is the xfm playlist. i occasionally forget to tune back to xfm from r1 before setting my radio to come on. then my mind is sent into crazy mode by ms sara bloody cox.

I think, Mark and Lard fan, the reason we talk about Emma B, is because this is a MOYLES forum, and this is normally when MOYLES is on. So if he was on another program, we'd talk about that because this forum is to talk about MOYLES, so we're talking about where MOYLES would normally be.
