This has been eating at me for ages but the guy is a ****** he just argues about anything he would try and convince you that black was white if it meant he argues. At least James Whale has got brains and muscle to back it up but this guy wont even listen to you.Im surprised he can even talk with his head right up his own.

Anyone listen to the henman v goran argument last night? Boyd is such an annoying ****er, he just does whatever he can to make the other person look an idiot, even if they are right.

i only ever listen to boyd on the human zoo. when i first started listening i thought he was a reasonable presenter. though this could be due to, firstly, the fact i thought it was amusing that he used to present children's tv and i had a slight recollection of him on tv in the back of my mind, and secondly, that i think the zoo is a very good idea and is v.funny occasionally, and especially when you first tune in.<P>though. i heard him arguing yesterday, as i tuned in for a minute, and when he argues he is a ****. though when he doesn't he can be ok. esp. when talking to ash sometimes.

Yep, the format of the show is great but Boyd is very annoying and should be relegated to local radio, where he belongs, ASAP. Then get Moyles to present the show as well as his R1 show, and rip the ****  out of the callers.<P>the_dr

Although moyles verbally attacks callers he also cuts them off not allowing them to argue back as it would devalue his persona.

Thank God nobody else seems to like TB; I thought it was just me.<br>Irritating things about Tommy Boyd: <br>Vol 26,Chapter 423.<P>1( When he was on about 5 years ago he used to do some deliberately provocative arguments - but they where still quite interesting to listen to.But now he is resting on his laurels too much and just sounds a complete berk.Re-cycling the same old arguments and constanly contradicting previously arguments - I know u can change your mind but this guy has done a complete 180 degree u-turn.<br> <br>2( He thinks he's so clever - and whenever he comes up against anyone who can argue as well as him - but he just goes off in a tangent and tries to make himself sound intelligent with stuff like 'Confucius once said'....Now he well knows that most his listeners havn't read a lot of this stuff,so this is a way to make him sound superior and intellectual.<P>3( He thinks he's a great broadcaster but really any of us could do what he does...Anyone could present the human zoo; as for the weekend shows as someone earlier said in this post 'u could argue that black was white' - and so you could; you can argue anything if ypou want to; especially if you've got the buttons in front of you.<P>4( He tries to make fun and humiliate inadequate callers - something that I dislike Moyles for.<P>5( He comes up with all this rubbish that he's some sort of philosopher,when all he is doing is stealing stuff from ancient thinkers and passing them off as his own...what a fraud.<P>All together I think he is a complete and utter joke as a serious broadcaster. <br>He should stick to kids TV which is about his level.<br>I know the fact that we are getting angry about him means he has succeeded in a way.<br>sometimes James Whale irritates me - but his arguments are serious; not puerile drivel.<P>To sum up: Mr Tommy Boyd STFU and go back to presenting for 5 year olds -if that's not too taxing for you.<br>

Tommy Boyds radio persona is that of an arrogant, pompous, argumentative tw@t but I guess that is what makes his show entertaining listening.<P>Winding the listeners up does actually seem to get results- you lot were all listening to his show weren’t you!<P>Same with Moyles- HUGE numbers of people hate him and think he is a w@nker but his show has a massive audience.<br>
