1. I listened to Dead Ringer once, thought it was ****  middle class, Radio Times, Women's Institute humour - although better than the show with no script Alistar McGowans Big Pile of Wank. For real satire please see Rory Bremner, on about 15 minutes ago.<P>2. WinMX - fantastic, ask stickyspanner - both he and I swear by it. (http://www.winmx.com)<P>3. No - only on CD rewritable. I think you might be able to 'delete' files from a CDR but it won't actualyl be phsycially deleted from the disc.<P>4. i downloaded napigator, you type in the correct name and it comes, its uses napster as a backbone. dead ringers is upper class crap, true but do you listen to "Im sorry I havent a clue", i think its really funny, but maybe its just me. switched on big breakfast and amanda byram looked stunning. i wanna download th e my name is frank butcher anyone know where to get it.

Dead Ringers is not upper class crap! It's very clever comedy. It probably helps if you listen to Radio 4 cos then you'd get more of the jokes. Jon does loads of Tom Baker calls on the show, similar to the stuff he does for Moyles, which are very good. He also does his Obi-wan impression which is brilliant.

Having used both Napigator and WinMX I can tell you now that WinMX is far better - no more "Too many connections".<P>Guess: Clever comedy? I don't think so. Ok - it's not as dumbed down as ITV, but it's getting there. No - I don't listen to Radio 4 because I'm under the age of 20, and neither should you. I like comedy thats original, funny, thought-prokvoking, subversive, satirical and cynical. I don't often get all that in one place - I have to look to Mark Thomas, Chris Morris, Rory Bremner and the like to fufil my needs. I do not find any of that in Dead Ringers. It is not good enough to just be able to 'do voices' - you have to have some decent jokes to back it up.<P>the_dr

theres too much cynicism in all these comics these days. Dead Ringer is the worst "comic" programme. I'm well over 20 so Radio 4 is quite appealing to me. I like Mark Thomas as well, going to see him live in a couple of weeks. Dead Ringers does use 'jokes' as well as voices and is very funny. I might just be old and into Radio 4 humour;-)

Compared to the godawful GWR group programming (Hot 30 - Late Night Love), and the crappy state of independent radio. When coxy is on  or nemoan I listen to Virgin or Talk Sport, and when these are crap - Radio 2- although not in the afternoon.

i am not into mark thomas, hes too intellectual for me, some butt gags wouldnt go amiss. about this posting rush, i rarely post on other peoples topics unless i have a valid view. otherwise i keep posting on my own topic.
