Chris decided to treat himself to some new Xbox games yesterday while he was on his way home from work. He bought Pacman, Grand Theft Auto and The Sims, despite being a bit doubtful about the latter.
Chris - I got The Sims but I think that’s a bit nerdy
Aled - I love that game!!!
Chris - I rest my case
Chris also bought an extra controller in case any of his celebrity pals (Culshaw or Dan Hipgrave) want to come round for a game on the Xbox one afternoon. Chris said that his new controller is radio controlled and has no lead, meaning that he can still keep playing on the game while in his kitchen. (He wasn’t guessing, he did actually try this out). Chris said he played for three hours on Grand Theft Auto before making himself dizzy, then he felt sick and went to bed for a couple of hours before waking himself up to go out for a drink and a kebab. This amused Dave who repeated the fact that Chris “went home, played computer games, then went for a lie down and then went to the pub”. Rock n roll. Chris said he really wants to get Dave into computer games and challenged him to an afternoon FIFA 2004 clash between Leeds and Everton back at his place.

Dave - But I don’t really want to get into the whole prospect of wasting my afternoons playing video games with you
Chris - As opposed to doing what?
Dave - I dunno...going home and watching The Dukes of Hazzard
(Chris and Dave laugh)

If you thought computer games and Dukes of Hazzard repeats on Bravo were bad enough, Producer Rachel went home, cooked and went straight to bed yesterday - and even the crazy woo woo welsh party animal himself went to bed at 5 in the afternoon and didn’t wake up until 4 this morning. Aled said he was going training this afternoon though. Chris and Dave were thinking about a jog in the park but if the London weather was anything like it’s been up here today then there was probably more Xbox games to play and Duke Of Hazzard repeats to watch. Chris said he was wide awake for the show this morning but that obviously wasn’t the case last night when he was choosing the Buzz Off track for today’s show. He brought in a compilation CD to play it from but only an empty case containing no actual CD’s. Chris found another crap compilation at short notice and from it decided to play the crime that was N-Trance featuring Rod Stewart - Da Ya Think I’m Sexy. Surprisingly it lasted over two minutes although Dave and Rachel had had enough after 10 seconds. Aled was loving it though and was last to buzz on 2mins 17. So just to recap, Aled was gettin on down to the sounds of N-Trance featuring Rod Stewart....but had never heard of Tuesday’s Buzz Off track, Oasis and Rock ‘n’ Roll Star. Despite this Chris was keen not to try and include gags at the expense of Aled today, so repeatedly played clips of the gay welsh villager Daffyd from Little Britain through the show. Chris had a CD of audio from Little Britain as the big guests on today’s show were David Walliams and Matt Lucas. Unfortunately for Chris, the clip of Marjorie Dawes from Fat fighters in the audio he had involved her having a go at a fat bloke....called Chris.

LITTLE BRITAIN - DAVID WALLIAMS AND MATT LUCAS INTERVIEW:
Matt and David were on after 8 and although the interview made fairly awkward listening at times, on the whole it was pretty good. (David’s the tall bloke and Matt is the short bald one who plays George Daws in Shooting Stars). The common theme throughout the interview was the fact that David thought Chris was gay flirting with him. Comedy Dave thought there was definitely a level of “camp chemistry” going on. Chris said he was just doing it to make Matt jealous. David said that was funny as before they came on the show they were arguing about who would get off with Chris first. Chris talked about the fact that David got an award at The Comedy Awards but Matt didn’t.
Chris (talking to Matt) - You’re like the comedy equivalent of our show cause we don’t win awards either
Matt - No but I deserve to win one Chris
Chris - I think that’s a bit harsh

Chris asked them both what they thought of the new show. They said they liked the news, sport, weather and the songs - but not the bits in between. Most proper “comedians” tend to dislike Chris but despite a couple of dodgy moments during the interview, they seemed to enjoy themselves. When Chris got himself into some bad situations Dave wasn’t exactly chipping in to help out, possibly something to do with the fact that Matt knows his sisters fella and he didn’t want to upset anyone. Chris and Matt talked about the time they both appeared together on TV together on The Apocylapse Tube show in Newcastle. Robbie, Paul McCartney and Prince were also on and there were very strict security rules in place, that were totally unknown to one Geordie bloke who went up to Prince for a good old chinwag, which Matt did a good impression of. Matt and David plugged the fact that they are signing copy’s of the Radio 4 CD of Little Britain in Virgin Megastore in London tonight. It was a good job they brought the subject up as David thought they were doing the signing in the one on Oxford Street, when infact they are doing it at the one in Piccadilly. They are doing it in character as Lou and Andy (the wheelchair “yeah I know” guy), Chris asked where Andy is from as him and Sophie had an argument about it. Chris was right, he is from Liverpool. They also talked about the gay welsh character Daffyd. Chris told them of how he once tricked Aled into believing that the character was welsh only because they had overheard him talking on the radio. Aled didn’t believe him but said it would be a really nice compliment if it was. David said he was a little bit welsh himself:
Chris - Where are you from again?
David - Surrey
Chris - right

Chris asked if he could be in the new series, which is going to go out in the autumn. Matt said they were actually on the look out for a gay radio DJ as it happened. Chris quickly changed his tune and told them to speak to his agent. Matt and David were appearing on This Morning later so Chris gave them each unique words to fit in. Matt got the legendary “ruuuubish” and David got “cabbage”. We'll find out on tomorrows show whether they were successful or not. Matt wanted to know if they could fit them in blatantly:
Matt - So can I say we just went on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show and it was....
David (interrupting) - cabbage
(everyone laughs)

INTERNATIONAL FROG OR DOG:
Today’s show also saw the return (according to Dave “by public demand”) of the long forgotten radio gem from yesteryear that was “Frog or Dog”, but today with a slight international feel to it. Chris and Rachel said they were taking no responsibility for the feature whatsoever and it was all down to Dave as it was purely his idea to bring it back. It involved people listening abroad ringing in to play against each other. There were 2 callers on the line, Heather from New Zealand listening in Singapore and Adam listening in Norway. Heather and Adam were then challenged to impersonate either (yep you’ve got it) “a frog...or a dog”. Borderline genius. Adam’s impersonation of a frog got 4/10 from Judge Vitty and Heather’s dog impression got 5/10. However, Adam was the winner as the frog or dog scoring system works by multiplying each players score...by their shoe size. Adam therefore won by 36 points to 35 and Dave even had a calculator on hand to tot up the scores with. Dominic wasn’t particularly impressed despite Dave’s claims it went well. It’s fair to say the feature wasn’t a roaring success but will probably be back on the show the next time Chris is short of a link. A quick text poll was carried out to gage a reaction but Rachel had set up the text computer wrong and as a result, the poll was buggered.

RACHEL WEIGHTWATCHERS UPDATE:
Yesterday was Weightwatchers weigh-in weekly Wednesday and it wasn’t good news for Rachel, which was probably why she in such a bad mood today. Chris played the lottery music and built up the tension ahead of her Weightwatchers results, but Rachel was being a right moody cow and wouldn’t say. Chris said he had told her not to eat all that cake the other day. There is also a rather unflattering side-on shot of Rachel in todays Chris Moyles Fitness Campaign Video. (Click on the link to download it - you need a Real One player though).
