More football chat began today’s show. Chris thought that Arsenal were playing Leicester last night, not Inter Milan (Arsenal got beat 3-0). Dave again took the mick out of how bad Leeds were against Leicester on Monday. Chris’s back was still sore today and he thought it may be delayed trauma from his car crash, despite the fact that was over a month ago now. Chris watched Fight Club on BBC 3 last night - and went to bed at 4 am, not properly getting out of bed until 1 this afternoon.
Dave watched Mission Impossible 2 on ITV last night but still hasn’t seen Mission Impossible 1. Aled watched his DVD Box-set of the first series of 24. Chris again boasted about the advantages of Sky Plus, which allowed him to tape the 2 episodes of The West Wing he missed while he was on holiday. Aled’s Sky Plus however failed to record the shows - and failed to record them on E4+1 as a back-up. Chris’s enjoyment of The West Wing has been slightly spoiled by the fact that he saw an advert in the States for the new series over there, which gave away what happens at the end of the current series over here. In the 3:30 news George read out a story saying how shots were fired through the door of the Liverpool home of Jennifer Ellison and her fiance (although they weren’t there at the time). Chris wanted to make a joke about it on-air but Aled wouldn’t let him. Chris talked about how fit she is and said that the people who did it should be ‘hunted down and spanked or something...’ Chris said he’s not really that good when it comes to justice. Dave said ‘clearly’.
Chris also watched some of Fame Academy on BBC 3 last night - and some of The Salon on Channel 4 (how that got a new series I’ll never know). Chris said The Salon people asked if he wanted to come down, have his haircut and be on the show. He declined. Aled however is going to go down there tonight to have a look around and meet the staff. Aled admitted that they ‘offered him’ free Colonic Irrigation. Dave then said the following for the first of 2 times in today's show: ‘They offered me that as well. I told them to shove it up their arse’. The Salon also asked Aled if he wanted to ‘have some of the fat removed from his belly’. Chris said he’d be there all day if they did that to him. Dave said ‘It’d be like a sausage machine with you - all different shapes and everything’. Dave did say that he picked up an ear-infection from the swimming pool on his honeymoon and had to have his ear syringed. He said this piece of wax came out that he thought was the size of a peanut. High quality radio at it's best I'm sure you'll agree. Chris and Dave then moaned about stereotypical hairdressers - because when Dave was having his hair done before the wedding, the hairdresser asked if he was going anywhere nice on holiday this year. Aled’s Sweet 16’s was also back for it’s penultimate day. Another good choice and another that impressed Chris as he chose The Lightning Seeds and Pure.
The main bulk of the show today however circled around The Friends Series 9 DVD’s that Chris received courtesy of Warner Brothers (as asked for yesterday). Chris told the story of how he was shown round the set on a Warner Brothers Tour in LA and how he also went round the set of Sister Sister during a similar Paramount Pictures Tour, which annoyed Chris as the tour guide chose that set instead of the Frasier one. Chris talked to Megan off air, who said that to celebrate the last series of Friends being filmed later this year, Chris should go over there to broadcast the show from the set during filming. Chris really liked the idea and asked Warner Brothers to send in a statement to the show about it. Dave said that it was 8 am in LA and maybe Courtney Cox would be listening on the net while making her breakfast and could get in touch with the show. Chris said she would be too busy getting Coca
Cola and ice cubes for her husband (while he plays pinball), like in the advert. Chris also said maybe Jennifer and Brad Pitt would be listening. Aled says they went in a pub near to Radio 1 a couple of years ago.
Chris told the story of how Norman Cook was DJing at their wedding, and how Zoe Ball tried to get Chris in when they called her from the States. It never happened, although months later Norman told Chris he had his name down on his guest list and was disappointed when he never showed up. A string of American and foreign e-mails came in to the show, with Chris saying hello to American Joe in New York, some bloke called Tony Wong in Taiwan - and Ryan in Washington, who said he was settling down to watch The Hurricane through the window with a beer
and The Moyles show on. Chris said The Moyles brand was bigger than the Beckham brand in the US. Dave thought there was an 8% chance of them doing the show from over there. Warner Brothers however got back to Aled and said they would like to do all they can to make it happen - and would like to discuss it further, much to Aled’s excitement.
Dave had a Guess Who which was Pink. Chris wondered why she was still in the country. Dave said it might be due to the fact that she was on Jo Whileys the next day. Aled also had a Guess Who which was Noel Gallagher standing outside Radio 1 looking lost.

Carolynne is nympho it seems from everything thats been said. Paris was the worst offender of wanking. Carrie and David joined Colin and Edith in the morning show. Carrie wore a revealing top again. Carrie is 37 and Dave is 46. Carrie was asked if Chris and Richard Park were to have a fight who would win. Carrie said that Chris would win hands down. She complained that Chris always looked at her cleavage in the 10 minutes that he taught.
Carolynne went on a date with Paul Danon. Wasnt he that no mark from Hollyoaks. The student sung today at the Trafford Centre in Manchester. The 4 remaining students will be on Jo Whiley. Chris said that they were offered but he said no. I dont know if thats true or not.
