Chelsea order £600k bus

Chelsea have bought a £600,000 bullet-proof bus.

Club owner Roman Abramovich has also had the bus fitted with massage tables and hydrotherapy pool.

A source said: "The club want to give the players everything they need to sweep the boards next season. The only problem is the bus is so highly specified it won't be ready until March next year."

The bus has been ordered from a firm in Tampa, Florida reports The Sun.

It is similar to the one used by President Bush during his election campaign.

I think there should be a salary cap, like there is in American "football", to stop Chelsea trying to lure people to the club by offering them crazy wages. There should also be a sort of transfer fee cap aswell.

salary caps are an interesting thing. they're meant to even out the "playing field", so to speak, but they can cripple teams. if you have a player that takes up a large portion of the salary cap, and they either start performing like crap or are injured or what have you, you're stuck paying for them unless you can trade them off due to contract. younger players can get screwed.

its all rubbish anyway. teams have always dominated but these days people say its all down to money.

It won't stop teams dominating - there is a salary cap in Rugby League and there are only 2 teams dominating there at the moment

it's the same here in the us sport leagues with baseball, basketball, and us football. the whole nhl strike was about it. they're a necessary evil i guess, but players shouldn't moan when they get millions.

but they always do, about how they have things so 'tough', even though if they are genuinely having a tough time, it's self inflicted by them doing something real stupid, like getting themselves a paltry fine for on field violence etc.
