I'd really love to go and I could make the time, but it's totally prohibitive to travel from and back to Scotland just for the one night. I've already turned down going to this year's Student Radio Awards. I just can't afford it. - jc

I'd love to go, just getting home again afterwards. Cost isn't an issue because of free train travel etc, & I will finish college at 3 at the very latest because of teacher strikes.

Dad gets passes, 20 a year free in first class, or 1/4 fare travel by showing my pass. Not bad.

I only get them when I'm in full time education though I think, or am dependent on my parents, & while I'm unmarried & earning less than about £4k.

I get that too Magenta, I just have a card though, not seperate passes, it just has my photo and details and says "Son of BR executive staff" With it I can travel free, first class anywhere in the country as many times as i like...great isn't it. It raelly makes your friends jealous...I love it! I have never used it to just go off travelling though but comes in very useful when popping into London etc though. You're right about not having it always. I lost mine when I had my job because I wasn't "Dependant" on my father but now I'm a pikey student again I've got it back again!
