I want someone to own up and say they have bought it. Seriously the youth of today must have serious hearing problems if that is the shite they like these days.

Does it have some sort of film/tv show tie in I am missing which may explain this?

Ok someone is going to have to tell me what the current number 1 is before I can comment.

i think its david guetta and flo rida - club cant handle me now, i might be wrong and i cant be arsed to check. its holiday season, people will buy it cos it reminds them of the good times they had getting fingered in magaluf bars (sidla??)
#416134
You fingered Sidla in Magaluf? Did he mistake your beard for Whiskers?

Yudster - I only just heard it now listening to Moyles it was played just after 7am.

I'm classified at youth and I have no intention of going anywhere near that song. 80s and 90s are the best!

I'm not a massive music fan so don't know lots and lots of bands but there are still some great ones around its just that most aren't played on Radio 1 it appears.

It's probably helped by the fact its from the film Step Up 3D according to me other half.

Still Eminem should be number one at the weekend to restore some order in the charts

Oh god, on Sunday on the way home from Birmingham, there was literally nothing on the radio and we ended up listening to the end of the Chart Show... the song is awful, but people were sending texts in before the number one was announced saying "it's definitely going to be Flo Rida, there's no way the other songs are good enough"... and then Reggie interviewed Flo Rida or whatever the * he likes to call himself and said "The Saturdays have been kept off the top spot by you and the last time they were going for a number one record, you did the same thing with your previous record... what do you have to say to that?" The Saturdays were number THREE! That means that even if the stupid Flo Rida record hadn't been out, The Saturdays STILL WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN NUMBER ONE!

What a load of complete tosh - but then the charts have been like that for years haven't they? I mean Basehunter and before that all the other piles of steaming turd that they threw up in the number one position.

The Eminem song isn't great either, the whole Eminem thing seems old now.

I think Katy B Katy On A Mission should be Number 1. The current Number 1 is rubbish isn't it!

If I hadn't heard his latest album, I would agree because his Relapse album was awful. But his latest album is brilliant. I don't really follow what he releases into the charts so that may have got old.

Are we really suprised by now what shite is currently number 1, after all people in this country have contributed to the following tracks being the UK number 1 over the years (picked at random):

Falco - Rock Me Amadeus (March 1986)
Nick Berry - Every Loser Wins (October 1986)
Jimmy Nail - Ain't No Doubt (July 1992)
Aqua - Barbie Girl (October 1997)
Fatman Scoop Feat Crooklyn Clan - Be Faithful (November 2003)

Sadly the total shite gets played on Radio more these days, whereas the decent stuff either ends up on BBC 6 Music or Absolute Radio where no one listens, or never gets played at all :x

Fair enough to be honest I just picked at random & don't actually mind the Jimmy Nail & Fatman Scoop ones.

However we can all surely agree on the Nick Berry song

I'll accept it's not great, but I'm surprised it warrents a thread on it's own - the number one is generally pish.

Dance music really is crap these days (compared to 1987-1997) oh & by the way Foots, I like cheesy music as much as anybody on here it seems, I seem to have misjudged you all on here, I can understand why you may like some of these (barring Nick Berry)
