The most "assinine" thing I have heard over the hols was on Scott Mills' show (in for Chris currently), where people sent cards in December updating others on their pets' lives over the past year. For example, Polly The Pooch broke a rib in April, etc., etc.

I have a friend in America who does this stuff. Do any of you do this stuff? And, if so, why?

No, the only people who I keep informed of Muffin's development are the people who are genuinely intersted. that consists of my mum who has decided that as it is now apparent that I'm not going to have kids that she is now focusing all her attention on the dog and treating her as a grandaughter....

works for me...

It's wax, Andy B. He doesn't need a haircut. He's outdoors in pygamas and wax.

Oh, you mean round robins. Tons of people do those, in fact you can buy a book of them, altho I forget what it's called. The first time I came across them was when I was 17 and going out with a boy who was rather more middle-class than me and a fair few of his parents' friends put them in with their xmas cards. I was amazed that anyone was that self-involved that they thought everyone on their card list was that interested in the minutaie of their life.

She is that - we didn't expect her to make it through this years fireworks night, then we didn't expect her to make it to Christmas, now she is doing just dandy.

It is quite obviously a blue shirt and jeans that I have on.

Also, re: your signature, why do you appear to have moved to America? I mean, this looks like an American-style house?

Viv has said exactly the two things I thought when I saw your sig footy. Pyjamas in America. Very Waltons. G'night Jim-Bob!

Hang on! Let's avoid any Waltons references when referring to America, please.
I like the new sig. You can tell they are jeans.

Yes, but jeans with the top half of your pyjamas is not a great look.

I'd love to see a signature with you sitting at a computer, typing stuff out on this website. That would be cool. Maybe with a radio playing nearby.

I do have to say that the landscape around his house is rather barren. There's no mountains or lochs. What happened to the land features? It's like one of those dreadful little states in the middle of my country. Like Kansas or whatever. Featureless, flat blobs. Put a mountain in, Footsy.

Well, he won't be wearing lederhosen, will he? Remember, we weren't supposed to bring up anything German while the mother is still with me...
