Who on this site has achieved everything they have set out in life to do.
Are you an achiever, or have you struggled to achieve, has your dreams come true, or are you still dreaming.
I am writing a book at 58. That's my dream.... my achievement will be when I finish it. They say people are living longer.... so I might finish it by the time I'm 108.

Surely there can't be anyone who has achieved EVERYTHING they set out to do? Please tell me no? I don't think I have achieved anything I set out to do, although I have achieved some other stuff on the journey. Some of the things I have done have been very fulfilling, but my dreams - no, they slipped away a long time ago. There's still plenty to aim for though, still lots to do.....!

Surely if you achieve everything you set out to do, then you set out to do too little?

You are extremely wise, my Grandfather, had this, it was simply contentment, and it's the best thing in the world, what ever.
I believe he achieved this by fighting in the War and experiencing things in life we can not contemplate in terms of suffering and hardship, but set against huge spirit of friendship, purpose, and the knowledge of knowing you are fighting for the right cause, and for the benefit of friends and family and society.

Achievement to me will be finishing my book, apart from that I have achieved the biggest and best ..... 3 children, 3 grandsons, money cannot buy that, only love and sheer hard work. A big smacking kiss from either my old kids, or my young grandsons is worth more than winning the lottery.
My grandad was in the first World war, he was the most gentl kindest man on this earth. He found the simple things in live rewarding, like me, love and family around him. We have skipped a few generations now, why is there so much murder, violence here in Britain, every day you listen to the news and someone has been murdered, what can we do to turn it all around. People dont know who their neighbours are, we read of people being found dead in a flat for months.
Thought for today.... check your neighbours. Especially the elderley.
