Yeah, but some people just have 'that sort of face', Toph.... Poor Ben. :D

but, on a more serious note, it doesn't sound like Ben was out looking for trouble, so instances like this are kinda beyond your control and just a 'bad luck' thing of being in wrong place at wrong time.

As i've already said, it could have been a $hite site worse.

Exactly. My worries were that when he asked me if a had £1 it ran through my mind, maybe I should give it him, he'll walk off and all will be fine. I'm glad I didn't though as that could well have got me mugged. And after hitting me when he tried to square up to me again as well anything could have then happened.

Exactly, never get your wallet out in that situation. You'll always lose more than you intended.

Run, punch and run, or stall in the hope a disturbance makes them run.

God that is horrible, you are allowed to use reasonable force to defend yourself. Hope it doesn't happen again. Just don't let the prick win and stop you from going out at night to enjoy yourself. They are going to win if you stop doing that. I wasn't punched like you were but i have been followed 3 times out on my own, its scary after it happens but once you get over the shock, you will be fine. I don't allow them to win and still go out at night or come home on my own, i carry a personal attack alarm to be on the safe side.

See the funny thing about that is that at work yesterday we had personal attack alarms as apparently you have to wear them now if working on checkouts then 15 minutes after I got out of work I was attacked. How ironic.

That is really freaky that happened. I would get one for personal use. It doesn't matter if you are guy or a girl it will help scare off any attacker.

Well at least he left you with your Virginity Intact Ben!

Seriously though, it is a shit thing to happen, but I disagree with Toph, it happens allot. I can remember being punched in the face a couple of times, and head butted as well once which really hurt, all either just in passing, or out of the blue, I was also glassed in the face once which left a scar, and thats the only time the Police got involved, after each instance the people fled without giving me any opportunity to fight back, and in allot of ways that is even more annoying.

Yes I know I must have a face that just asks for it, but in all honesty mostly I had been trying to "peace make" when things were going wrong with other people.

You really just have to be more carefull, get a lift home with a mate, get a Taxi, don't wait by the bus stop any longer then you have to, once he'd bumped into you start walking to the next stop with your head down, avoid avoid avoid..........

And when it happens just accept it, you arn't the first all the last, and if you met him the next day he wouldn't remember, and it wasn't personal, and it in no way reflects on you. Ya Jessie!

Everyone at Miss Yudster's university was given a rape alarm as part of their Student Kit which was in a box in their rooms when they moved in. If memory serves there were also fliers for all the local clubs, a can of Red Bull and a packet of condoms.

i think it was more a poor attempt to chat-up little-miss-Yuds than an actual statement of fackt.

How dare you. I know nothing of Little Miss Yuds.

I was just wondering what it would be like getting into an argument with your mother in law if it was Yuds.

Interestingly enough all of Miss Yudster's suitors have had enough sense not to allow that situation to arise. Her current beau, who has been on the scene for nearly three years now, has just in the last month become what I would regard as a "keeper". So in all probability she will dump him in the next week.

I don't really know. He spent Christmas with us and whereas before when he has stayed over for any period of time he has irritated me greatly, this time he seemed to relax and he was a lot of fun to have around. I've always known he was a nice lad, but I've always regarded him as a bit wet, but I've seen another side to him that has made me revise the "wet" conclusion and realise that he is just self-effacing and lacks a bit of self confidence. I was dreading him being with us over Christmas but I really enjoyed him being here. What more does the lad have to do?!

After just over a week of being free of codeine, I had to take one again last night, and I feel sick again this morning. I'm not happy about it.

*, me & my brother are going to Bolton on the 31st January for the away Arsenal game up in Bolton, this was scheduled for the 31st January, we were going to return on the 1st February. However ESPN as * usual have gone & * everything up, as some football fans may known ESPN are notorious for moving games when it suits them and sadly as my brother found out, the contracts for the FA Cup states that ITV & ESPN can force a reschedule when they like.

We were originally supposed to play Aston Villa on the 28th January however because ESPN have decided it will be a big game they have decided the game has to go ahead on a Sunday and thus the Tuesday game has been moved back a day. Unfortunately this means now we will have to get new return tickets, we booked them last week as Virgin are know for whacking up prices nearer the dates.

It just * me off that ESPN can * up everyone's plans because it suits them, not only does it effect the Arsenal & Bolton fans on Tuesday but also the Arsenal & Aston Villa fans on Saturday/Sunday. I wouldn't mind but ESPN are shit anyway, just * annoying

Do you know, and I might be wrong here but I kind of think I see an inkling - I think Johnny 1989 might be a bit upset.
