You must remember Flower that Ferdinand went for 28 million a number of years ago, given the incredible rate at which transfer fees have increased, you'll realise that it was at the time an absurd amount of money for Jar Jar Binks.

Oh, and nice of the forth official to allow the scummers so much injury time despite there not really being any stoppages at all in the second half, still it's only fair, you can't have Manchester United not win at home, that's just silly.

I don't think Villa would have minded the 4 minutes after United scored in minute one.

Fowler wrote:I love it when people always say how there is an extra few minutes added on just because Man U are not winning it's so childish. It could always help the opposition to score anyway.

It's always said Flower, because it always happens, and although it may in theory provide the opposition with a time to score too, it usually doesn't as it's often done when United are on top.

I don't think it can be labelled as childish either, childish is sticking post-it notes on people's backs saying kick me, or super-gluing a pound coin to the pavement.

:?

Really? In a football based thread? Fair enough I suppose, on here, the title of the thread is normally the only thing that isn't being talked about in it!

I was being more specific. I don't watch football, can't be arsed with it.

I meant I don't know why he is laughing about Newcastle but I am making an educated guess that they won something.

I am not looking forward to this weekend. I hate these high pressure matches, it all gets too tense for me. I just hope Liverpool stuff Chelsea, and United don't lose. And the most important game - we are at Portman Road. If we can squeeze a draw, I'll be happy, but I fear the worst.

I was looking forward to Plymouth Meeting Colchester in the FA cup, but sadly that wasn't to be, as it happens I could have travelled up and delivered fudge to all the Colchester Players, in a shameless bid to make them fat and unfit, but watching them play recently someone's got there before me !

You know what will happen, both matches will be 0-0.

I don't see Liverpool Chelsea being 0-0, but I'd settle for that in both the others!

I have spent time in Cambridge, and have had fleeting visits to the Sea that end of the country(Dover, Something Gate and a resort I can't for the life of me think off), where is Barnet though and Colchester I really have no idea. How apallingly ignorant of me, I will fetch my Atlas at Lunch break and rectify the situation... Laters

Laters??? Boboff that's a bit "youth" of you.

Have you been north of Cambridge?

I remember being in Cornwall once (St Austall) and meeting a group of 20 year old Pixies. About one quarter of them had never left Cornwall. Interesting place, the west country with interesting people...... small hands.

Indeed, I have toured the country on business and pleasure, seeking perfection in the Sugar and Fat confectionery trade. I recently spent a week in Wakefield, and often spend time in Cleethorps and Grimsby. Asda's head office is in Leeds, and Morrisons near by, Makro is in Manchester, as is the Co-Op, and most of the Department stores are in London, so I do get to see a few parts of the world, mainly drive in have a meeting, drive out again, so never get to see much, although we did do Leeds Scunthorpe Skegness Lake District on one B&B stop over Holiday, when I just met Mrs Boboff. I did also spend time as an Auditor for a Smoke Salmon Company, which meant I got to go Round Scotland and Ireland looking at fish being killed, which was nice too.

Cornish people are lovely, and there small hands, are to make your pasty look big.

I'm a long way from Cambridge, or the Kent Coast boboff.....! Well, I wouldn't want to walk it.
North-East Essex, thats my bit.

There's a car wash opposite my office, and a corrugated iron fence just blew down and has badly damaged three very new, very shiny Mercedes. Hope their insurance is better than I suspect it might be.....! If this weather doesn't settle down, we will probably lose quite a lot of the football this weekend........
